Now We Know What IT Is, What Should IT Have Been?

I say a deathtron like the one in LOGAN'S RUN. Remember when all the people whose hands glowed had to go and be blown up in that giant swirling vaccuum? No? Youngsters.

OK, maybe IT should have been a new pill to make doughnuts good for you.

How about a floating car?

Alright, I'm out of ideas, what should IT have been?

I'm boring, but I liked the hovercraft idea. Imagine 3-D traffic snarls a la Fifth Element...cool!

I rather liked IT

On Another Board a while back I posted that I thought It might be some kind of personal transportation device. The scooter looks pretty dorky, but its look really do make it utilitarian.

I rather like it. I think it has a chance. But it's not going to work unless folks start using it. The price tag is kind of steep, but it might work for folks who live in the city and only go about in the city. It'd be cheaper than a car. Even so, it does have the chance to be truly revolutionary.

Now, I wonder, will we be mandated by law to wear protective gear while riding one of these?

OK what the hell is IT talking about.....Is Rod Serling gonna pop out at any moment.......

I have been in an O.R. for the last 8 hours.........What the heck is IT......and why does IT need a thread??????

First off..are you okay? What happened??

Secondly, there's an inventor named Dean Kamen who holds thosands of patents. He said, months ago, that he had an invention which would revolutionize the way people lived in cities. He previewed it, shrouded in big-time security, before a group of tech-heads and investment folks. They were ga-ga over it. Some said it was as big an invention, potentially, as the Internet or the PC and that it could be to the car what the car was to the horse and buggy.

"Ginger" also called IT, and now called Sedgeway, turns out to be a battery-powered two-wheeled scooter. It's a niftly little thing, capable of moving up to 17 MPH and is stabilized by two gyroscopes. It's made for one person, and a light amount of cargo. Right now, at least three groups, including the US Postal Service are ordering Sedgeways - the USPS to see if it can make their deliveries more effieicnt in a couple urban areas.

Basically, it's a personal transportation device which might well obviate the need for cars in large cities. We'll see. I, personally, can see how it would work well, if folks warmed to it. They may not...I can't tell. But, down the road, it really could be the Next Big Thing.

Did anybody see Mr. Garrison's version of "IT" on South Park?

It was fucking hilarious!

Ahhhhhhh ok, Now I feel much better lol, thanks Jim.......Yes I am fine, I am a surgical technician....I just got home from work, and uh thought I had entered a time warp lol..........;) ;)

Berry, Berry good. I was concerned that something had happened. I'm glad that all is well.

And, a couple of years ago, IT could have been a demonic clown, right?

*Those people commute tubes, like in "Futurama"?
*A fully functional, self lubricating, self cleaning, kung-fu grip, artificial vagina?
*A implant that would allow politicians to only serve one term in office, then go to that swirly thing in logan's run? :D
