Here in Sydney it's almost midnight and then it will be November 4th. At the end of the day it will be over bar the counting.

If the excesses of campaign rhetoric can be set aside the for a few moments it does seem that whoever wins he will bring back some much needed integrity to the presidential office which it has lacked for a long time. So good luck to all Americans and especially American voters.

I am also hoping for good luck because I have put $100 on what I hope will be the winner of the Melbourne Cup which will also be run on 4th.

It's bound to win because it's my birthday. :)

I call this the "Freedom" election and have a countdown on my blog. (With a picture of Bush that says "buh-bye!" :D )

You're right... it can't get any worse. It just can't. (she says hopefully...)

Good luck on your bet, btw. Hope you win!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :cathappy:

No one gets to be President by being ethical or nice.

I was in Sydney on Election Day in 1992. They seemed particularly happy with the outcome of that one.

NC goes blue and Obama wins. :D

The last time that happened we got stuck with Teeth Carter
How appropriate to get his second term now

18 - 20% inflation 12% unemployment, yes, I remember the Carter years. :(
I was smart enough not to want a repeat!

Might be close this time around. Dole might be toast too after that ad. ;)

People really need to quit giving the President any credit or blame for the economy. Clinton didn't cause the boom and Carter didn't cause stagflation. President's are basically irrevelant, economically speaking, and the Senate won't have 60 Democrats. Now get out there and buy something . . . made in America!

I studied the form, assessed the jockey's, listened to the trainers looked at the track the form and the weights . Made my decision. Damn horse didn't even finish in the money which in this race pays $150,000 to tenth placegetter

My daughter picked a horse because its name began with V like her own baby daughter. It won at odds of about 50 to 1. Wife, Daughter and I suspect 1 year old grand daughter are sniggering and pitying simultaneously. :D

STELLA

I dont think it makes any difference. McCain supported the Democrats as often as he supported Bush. And his Dem support is his problem. The Democrats have short memories and the conservatives have long ones.

Well, I'm done voting. Got my sticker and getting a free shake at chick-fil-a for my efforts. Whoever farted in line? Not cool.

They are giving out "silver bullets" and "mavericks" at Babelands sex shop in Seattle. Read that in Seattle Post. LOL
