Nothing

yea....yea .....oh baby....its good for me.

but is it art??
nope.

It is self expression. NOT the same.

The closest thingto "art" that I make... I do not share on LIT. It is too persoanl and important.

so...
What I post on LIT i would not consider "Art"...only visual entertainment.
I hesitate to even label myself as an "artist", because I find that rather presumptuous.
I have a bit more competency than what I exhibit here, but not a lot.

There is not a lot of "content" either. Mostly just gratuitous sex.

This may go a bit off topic from your thread's intention, but I'd like to pose a question to you, if I may.

What do you find more gratifying, finding an audience that likes what and how you like to draw, or stepping out of your norm to draw what your audience wants to see?

hmmmnm..good question!

in general..I suppose I FIRST look for an audience that likes HOW I draw. THEN...I like to explore WHAT they like to see drawn by me... maybe.
O should (will) ponder that.

I like when people say

I don't like art, I don't look at it.

and I tell them..........its all around you dumbass.

Ebonee~
pondering a bit further...

I think I TRY to take constructive criticism, but being an egocentric person, I probably do not do that well.

I also feel that people tend to have a narrow view of what is "good".
Though there may be some validity to the concept of universal beauty...? maybe.

Sometimes I can see the weakness in my own work. Other times..not so much...or not until there is some "distance" (time).

Unfortunately the old phrase "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." does play a big part in art. One man's art is another man's rubbish, and vice versa.

that's fine! And welcome..though I sometimes decline...and too often am negligent in accommodating.

That's absolutely fine. It also tells me that while you do aim to please your audience, you also want to stay true to yourself. Turning down requests that don't interest you shows that.

You're an 'artist' as we all are 'authors' here.

maybe.
I am less qualified to speak to the "Author"-"writer"-"hack"-"literest" aspect, however,

I do feel that either "Aritist" means some measure of quality and competence
OR
it merely means anyone who has made SOME sort of visual bit of self-expression.

I can read music and play the piano (badly). I am not a pianist or muscician. heeheeee..a 12 inch pianist...you know the joke about the hard-of-hearing genie..?
I cook Kraft Dinner. I am not a Chef.
I swim pretty well. I am not an athlete.
etc...
