Note to self - glue gun and bottle of water don't mix

Finishing up the Halloween costumes. Glue gun at the ready, scissors, needle and thread, lots of material and special additions to make the outfits complete.

I have burned fingers and tired eyes but I'm almost done.

But now I have a wet butt, too, and nearly ruined my keyboard (oh - and almost electrocuted myself in the process).

I managed to set the damn glue gun too close to the bottle of water I was drinking and it melted a hole. Just a little hole. Well, I didn't notice the hole at first, of course, until the table was all wet and the water was seeping into the costume and trickling into my lap.

Everything was saved, things are drying out but I think I'm getting pretty damn sick of Halloween.

Is it too early to begin drinking?

(spidey has four - count 'em - costumes to choose from this year: Imperial Stormtrooper, Ninja, Medieval Knight, and a skeleton...can we say "overindulgent father" boys and girls? I knew you could. )
