Not Logged In ~ Problem

I am registered, I have been registered forever,
BUT everytime I log in the system immediatly sends me back to the page that says I'm NOT logged in.

BUT when I check the list I AM there
BUT again...
can't search, change profile, look at certain threads or post as me etc....

Is anyone else having this problem?

Any clue what to do?

I've sent a note to the webmaster already with no responce,

Try logging in through the story index page. That has cured similar problems for others.

If that's where you're having troubles, you need to enable cookies for *Literotica.com because it's trying to read a cookie to take you to your member's page.

I have cookies enabled, but the same thing happens to me upon occasion. Most times, it works as designed. It seems as if something changed last month, because this never happened before that. It's a minor annoyance, and logging on as WH suggests fixes things.

Well, my system is set to not log on with cookies...and yet it logs me in automatically.

Now, for any computer whizz kids reading this...I can't get an avatar. I have enough posts, and assume that the way to do it is to hit 'change avatar' on the options page. EVERY time I hit that key it logs me straight out of Lit (and, btw when I come back doesn't log me in automatically).

Any suggestions?????

In your options page,do you have the Browse board with cookies?
selection set to yes?

You need this on,to get signed in long enough to put your av on.

You can always change it back when you are done.

Are you actually logged in, or is your browser showing you an un-refreshed page from when you were last logged in?

Try going to install an avatar immediately after logging in. Lit is set to log you out after 15 minutes of no activity. LTR is probably right about needing at least the browse cookie -- I have both cookie options set to yes because that's the way the vBulletin software works best. I very seldom have any problems with staying logged in or problems logging in.

Check your browser's Security/Internet Zone settings.
Under the "Allow cookies to be stored on your computer" section, select "enable".

Thanks for all the replies but I've tried logging in every way possible.
The list shows my name, says I AM logged in but that is the extent of being logged in.
When I try to post or look at my options I get the screen saying I don't have permission and to please log in and then it is just a big circle.
I think I"ll just give up and go read a book instead.

Yes,, cookies are enables as far as I know, I used to be signed in automatically. So I guess maybe I'll try making a new name next.

Have you looked in your cookies folder for the literotica cookies? 'Log in' and check to make sure they are there. If they aren't then its having trouble writing them. If they are, you can try deleting them and trying to log in again.

On Win98 the cookie folder is C:\Windows\Cookies

Or you can try doing a Find Files for the pattern *literotica*.txt on your system (C drive.

Try Tools/Internet Options/Delete Temporary Internet Files -- answer YES to the question "Delete all Offline Content?"

In either C:\Windows\cookies or C:\windows\profiles\<your local login name>\cookies, delete all files related to Literotica.

That should present your system as having never visited Literotica and allow you to login.

Speaking from a TN AOL user, it won't let me log on....have no problems on MSN or Outlook Express....have been told that is has something to do with hecklers on AOL so Lit just blocks some areas....forgive me if this is wrong....just what I've heard and experienced....Good luck!!
