"On 02/03/21 at 1747 hours, AST responded to the Montana Creek subdivision near mile 96 of the Parks Highway in Talkeetna for the report of a burglary in progress. The victim reported 2 subjects in a black Chevy Avalanche attempted to burglarize his dwelling. When he confronted them in his driveway, the suspect driver attempted to run him over prompting the property owner to shoot a pistol at the suspect vehicle. The suspects fled the scene and AST located the suspect vehicle abandoned with a flat tire approximately 5 miles away from the incident location. The vehicle was impounded and the investigation continues. "
