Filmmaking is a relatively small part of the Disney portfolio and animation is a big part of that segment for them. It looks to me like Trump’s aim is to have more TV shows and movies filmed in the US.Based on what?

No need for personal insults. I heard Trump answer a question about this today (at the “nothing burger” NFL 2027 draft event that’s expected to draw over a million people to the capital and be broadcast on two different networks in prime time over three days.)
He said he wants more things filmed in the US. Not sure how big a slice of that is in Disney’s wheelhouse. Theme parks, ESPN/ABC, streaming, animation don’t fit what he was talking about.

How exactly would this work? Disney can't shoot their middle Eastern shows on location because they're a US company? No real location shots? Car chases through Monaco are all CGI now? Does filming 51% on US soil appease Dear Leader?

No specifics have been proposed. Trump said he wants to help the industry bring more filming back to the US. Apparently a lot of that has moved to other countries. Said he’s going to consult domestic industry leaders. I was simply asking the person who cited Disney how much relevance this has to that company. Doesn’t appear to be much.

Don’t just make things up and pretend they are true.
58% of Disney revenue is from movies and TV, which would be negatively impacted by Trump’s newest tax.
The rest of their revenue is from “experiences” and merchandise, all based on movie and TV characters.
So 100% of the corporate revenue is reliant on making movies and TV.
