Some use an electric toothbrush; a part that vibrates, but won't damage your skin.

I'd suggest saving up $20 or so and getting a good, variable speed vibe. They come packaged discreetly, so you can pass it off as something else if you don't live alone.

For that matter, you could even go to your local mass-merchandiser (e.g. Walmart) or drug store and pick up a "muscle/body massager." There are lots of ways to get off using those, and if it doesn't seem like enough to get you off when you first plug it in, you can always return it. I've never met a Conair brand massager I've liked, but YMMV.

Seriously, who needs a vibrator? I've never used one. Not to say I haven't thought about it... (and then went "yeah, okay, where the hell am I going to get one in THIS town?")
