There's a really soppy story behind it...

When I was born my older brother was just 15 months old. My Mum and Dad told him my full name, Katie Louise, and he tried to say it, but couldn't. It came out as "Tatelou", and my parents thought it was very cute and decided to call me that, too. It's stuck since I was a baby. My Dad still calls me Tatelou, or, more usually, Tate, now. The name is very precious to me.

I'm sometimes asked how it's pronounced, so, in case you are wondering, it's "Tate" (as in the gallery) and "Lou" as in loo/toilet.
