Interesting (nearly). I wonder how he chooses the women for his 'gift'. Aw, I don't care. P.

(It's just that PMs really are personal for me, so getting something like that is like getting it in the real mail at home.)

Can you remember the last time you actually got a REAL letter in your mailbox? One that didn't have a company logo on the envelope, one that wasn't written on a computer but by hand? A real letter, not just a postcard from someone on vacation, or a christmas card or something similar?

Yes, it was about a year ago, from an Oxford don. He typed it on a manual typewriter and signed it with a fountain pen. There was always at least one word in each letter that I had to look up in the dictionary.

p.s. Queen Elizabeth's profile was on the stamp.

The last actual personal letter I can think of, if you can call it that, scared the crap out of me. The local paper published a letter of mine in the Op-Ed section back during the '00 election campaign. I don't remember the exact wording, but it included mention of the Southern Poverty Law Center (and my personal support of them) in reply to a disparaging column about Gore that was somehow comparing him to the SPLC's vendetta against neo-nazis and the KKK by suing them out of all their assets. (The columnist was disparaging towards that, as well)

A couple of days after the paper came out I received an envelope containing xeroxed copies of 'white power' propaganda on top of which was a post-it that had TYPED on it 'I thought this might interest you', or something to that effect. It was bad enough that someone had looked up where I lived, that alone made me feel quite violated. The fact that they sent me hate propoganda made me feel very uneasy. What sent me over the edge into abject fear was that this was a person who would actually type on a post-it note. That just seems so mentally unstable to me.

Yeah, that did cross my mind. I've read a few too many serial killer type courtroom/police novels, I think. :D

A few months back, my mother sent me a short note accompanying the obit of the principal of my elementary school.

I'll admit, typing on a post-it does seem kind of weird.

I don't get it, min. Someone sends you free toilet paper, and you're not happy with this?

I don't have a yard. Thank goodness, I'm getting a manicure this afternoon.

I just spent over $250 online at Victoria's Secret without buying a single piece of lingere.

I am definitely missing some piece of feminine DNA. ;)

1 pair

And a lot of tank tops, sweaters, ballet tops, etc.

OK, I'm listing the clothing I purchased. So at least I have a bit of the girly thing down pat. ;)
