And, let me explain the contest voting to you. You automatically get 1 bombs when you're entered in a contest even if your story is a straight 5. From people who are entered in the contest and competing against you maybe, or their fans who want their fave author to win the contest. So this story of yours will finally even out with a rating of about 3.something or 4 even though it deserves to be an H.
Laurel weeds out the fraudulent votes a lot, but then some SOBs just vote 2 or 3, which does bring your average down but escapes the weeding out of 1 votes. Just the bad part about getting into contests.
The good part is that you get noticed by new readers, the voting is almost doubled than if you had a non-contest story, your other stories get noticed, plus you get a lot of AH people reading your story.
