Metallica fan here too. Actually I'm a fan of their older stuff. They really started softening up after the black album, and I don't care for it as much. One is my favorite.

I just borrowed a cd at random from a friend of mine. Weirdest stuff I ever heard. I don't think it follows either rhythm patterns or tonal scales. It will probably give me nightmares.

In-laws can be so demanding sometimes. Trying to keep a smile, but it is requiring a great deal of work today.

I've got a very cuddly cat. She's butting my feet, telling me it's time to go to bed.

Nighty-night, folks!

I hope not cuz I'm only 21 :)
In keeping with no topic if I were the sexy one in the supremes I would have totally made a move on the Diana Ross from that era.

Yeah, but Berry Gordy got to her first

What the hell is going on?

I have just fallen into a very bad mood!

No clue where it came from, but it doesn't appear to be leaving any time soon. :(

Diana Ross was cool and sexy for about a year or two. She had nothin but nothin over Ronnie Spector for sexy.

I knew too and although I say only a few prayers one of the ones I said was for her. She's not only the queen of soul she's one of the templates of what a diva should be and accomplish

Thanks P & D, glad to know there are others out there who love good music and true divas.
I am however partial to Peggy Lee.

I was just sitting here and had a thought. Figured this was as good a place as any to discuss it with myself.

Children are leeches. High maintenance little human beings that absolutely suck the life out of you some days. Whining, crying, begging, pleading and taking everything you have to give. Their very existence is cause for sleeplessness; from being tiny babies that require you for everything at all hours of the night - to toddlers and youngsters that you feel the need to plan for, guard, shelter, nourish and promote in the most positive ways. I laid awake last night and listened to her rhythmic breathing over the monitor and my brain was flooded with thoughts of health, education and overall happiness. This occuring at the same time that my heart was flooded with feelings of hope, pride, fear and joy.

How is it that one little person in the simplest stage of development can bring forth such extremes of thought and emotion from a woman ever advancing in development? It is a mystery that irritates and amazes me on a daily basis.

Tonight she is scampering about in a diaper, stopping her play ever ten minutes or so to deliver an unexpected hug/kiss to her Mommy. Her instinct is amazing, because tonight I really need it. How do they know?

Enough...

kids...

My kids challenge me every day. They challenge the way I see the world and the way I react to it. They give such great perspective. The best part of my day is when I arrive home and I hear "Daddy!" and get ambushed.

This morning when we got in the truck my stereo had no power. I have not been able to fix it but my daughter's comment has kept my sense of humor about it. After dropping off my son the little voice from the back seat speaks:

"Daddy, the music is broken..."

"I know baby."

"Daddy we gotta go now."

"Go where Baby?"

" Go buy new car"

You're not the first I've heard say that.

The new album goes back that way somewhat.

I prefer the heavier bassier sound of the more recent stuff since the black album!!

Yup. Except that this time, heavy or not, they just suck.

I looked it up. I knew the most common definition, but also found a second definition to mean: not planar.
