I will never understand what possesses people to hammer someone's work. Please note that this is not a complaint, simply a moment of confusion. My latest poem was doing really well, not that I care one way or the other about the score because it was written during a moment of heavy feeling and served its purpose for me, but I just don't understand why someone would put a one on it unless they just really hated it. Maybe they did. I didn't think it was that bad, but p'raps I was wrong. It's happened before.

When my one story was in the top spot for a few days, I got a little excited about the scoring, but I knew it wouldn't last long before someone bombed it, then I remembered, I didn't write it for them. I write for me, so unless I one bomb my own work, it really doesn't matter now does it?

I enjoy reading poetry, but am rarely ever happy with the poetry I've started with the intent to create a poem. Most of my poems never see the light of day, which is fine with me, because they're written in the heat of a moment and just sorta spill out. They always need heavy tweaking for posting and I just keep them locked away, happy and hiding on my HD. It works for me, don't rock the boat.
