Cyclical explosions in population do occasionally induce lemmings to attempt to migrate to areas of lesser population density. When such a migration occurs, some lemmings die by falling over cliffs or drowning in lakes or rivers.

He was calling us Lemmings because they are commonly thought to follow each other in suicide off a cliff if the population gets too high.

It's hard to tell sometimes whether change is good or bad. This particular change has pros and cons, but overall I'd say it sucks.

The loneliness is a result of the change.
