I think I can see how the useless information thing would work. Some people I've known with that sort of store put it to other (but always entertaining) uses: racounteuring, singing songs (about anything you happened to name), telling long stupid jokes, winning arguments, etc. I think I have such a store, but my retrival system is shot due to youthful practices I will not mention in public. It tends to fire at random. :/

Well there is a lot of controversy over that point, but I think in general you are right. On the other hand, having a large "skull" in your possession, I've heard it said (as well as heard it sung!), can cheer a fellow up the way nothing else can.

Properly working retrieval is very handy. During the few times mine has worked at the right time, I've gotten the job or charmed the company or aced whatever it was that needed doing.

Still, those youthful experiences taught me some very important things, and I still think the price I paid for those lessons relatively small.
