No lecture needed...I do need some opinions

[B, we both agreed today that last night got out of errr, umm... out of hand and it wouldn't happen again until I was on the pill and we had condoms readily available.

Why weren't you on the pill prior? Sorry, just seems crazy for a single, attractive and sexually active woman today to NOT be on a constant form of birth control - because why spoil it when things DO get out of hand?

(I'm not judging, hon...just kinda curious)

The pill hasn't worked for me...it really messes with my body. It was really a non-issue up until now. I was practicing abstinence. Ironically, I had an appt. in December to discuss some of the newer options...I got my period two days before the appt. and my new appt. is scheduled for next week.

What???? No lecture eh?

You will be getting more than a lecture Hon.

Well then I wish you luck with the outcome of this situation and happy hunting through the numerous methods to choose from!

adding my two cents to the pot on this one.... i am single, (hopefully considered) attractive, (alas) not sexually active woman ... who if was sexually active - could not take the pill (or varient thereof) While the pill has done alot.. until they take that *if you have history of stroke - DO NOT TAKE* warning off ..i am *SOOL* At this time I have no options except for condoms... course i have always been the exception to the rule. ;)

You've mistaken my post, I didn't mean the pill specifically, but that was PB's listed method of protection. There are so many forms out there now, I just think it's crazy for a girl past the age of majority to NOT see to her own protection - even if it means YOU carry the condoms.

I agree with you. However, the other night was so incredibly unplanned AND I haven't been sexually active in 5 years. I could see it coming and I was doing everything I could to prepare myself.

As I said, I had an appt. in December to find a method that would work for me...I started my period. I'm rescheduled for next week.

As for this week. I have no regrets. It wasn't planned...it was one of the most erotic moments of my life to date. Yes, I'm living through 48 hours of being a little light headed due to taking a high dose of birth control BUT again...I took immediate action and prevented a pregnancy.

Ok..I sound defensive. I'm going to work now.

Riles,

I didnt mistake your post... i was just stating my particular situation.

And while there may be many forms availble - most cannot be used by someone who has a history of CVA (stroke) -- i dont believe that i would be able to take the morning after pills either. The only options that are left *for me* are diaphram/cervical cap ( due to my anatomy, may not work ) and comdoms....

I havent been sexually active for well, hmm, i guess its about five years now - but before i *did* carry my own condoms.... but i will also say, that there may be something new that i havent heard about ...never say never ;)

I know i am new to this board, but i hope that there are no hard feelings.

Don't you just love those kisses? They make your head spin, and all rational thought promptly flies out the door. What fun.

Thank the gods I'm fixed.

Good for you, PB. Sometimes you just got to live even if it means taking care of the consequences after.:rose:

I dont want to scare you either but I know a girl that got pregnant just because she washed her panties in the same load with her guys underwear......Its not safe!;)

Somehow I find that incredibly far fetched. If it was a hot water cycle the sperm would all die due to the temperature...that's why your nuts hang low, so they are away from the really hot heat of your body, they need a slightly lower temperature. Cold water cycle....probably would kill them too due to the really cold temperature. The soap/detergent used in washing the clothes would literally break the cells open, killing them instantly, by breaking down the cell walls. Then you have the added heat of drying the clothes to kill the sperm. So I just find this really hard to believe. It would seem like an astronomically small possibility if at all to me at least.

Darlin, I'm pretty sure no one really got pregnant from doing laundry. Otherwise, I'd get knocked up everytime I washed a load of towels.

PB... I missed this thread before... but CONGRATS!!!! I'm not gonna lecture you, compared to my single sex misadventures, that's a tiny one.

Good Luck.

A - The winking smiley is a clue.
B - It's a Killswitch post. Proceed with caution.

Heh. Thank you. :D

I'm still thinking about one kiss in particular. I never knew it could be that good.

Also keep in mind that stressing about it can delay your period.. Sometimes the body catches up with the mind.. I've been lucky I've had a few close calls, but have not gotten pregnant.. Good luck! Petra
