They are triggered by loss of freedoms, loss of health care, blatant self-serving corruption of the government, destruction of the economy, loss of jobs, growing authoritarianism, and many other things which should not be a part of the American experience. And yes, these protests are more than justified. Any good patriot should support them.
 
In Utah, a past Project Runway designer was caught in crossfire, shot in the stomach and died from his wounds :(

Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, 39, was killed Saturday night when two men shot at a person allegedly brandishing a rifle at demonstrators, and one accidentally struck Ah Loo in the stomach, authorities said. Ah Loo later died at the hospital.

Salt Lake City police said it remained unclear Monday whether the individuals, one of whom identified himself as part of a ā€œpeacekeepingā€ team for the protest, were brought in by the event organizers or acted on their own initiative.

Arturo Gamboa, 24, never shot the rifle he pointed at protesters, but police arrested him on murder charges and said he created the dangerous situation that led to Ah Looā€™s death. Police said they were investigating whether the man who shot at Gamboa ā€” and fatally hit Ah Loo ā€” was justified in firing his gun. He has not been identified publicly.

Slain Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman laid to rest

Former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman will be laid to rest alongside her husband on Saturday, weeks after her "politically motivated assassination" stunned the nation.

Hortman, a Democrat who served as the speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2019 till her slaying, and her husband, Mark Hortman, were shot and killed in their Brooklyn Park home on June 14.


Democratic state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette Hoffman, were also shot at their nearby home the same day. The Hoffmans survived the encounter.

Hortman, 55, her husband and their golden retriever, who was also killed in the attack, lied in state at the Minnesota Capitol rotunda on Friday. Hortman was the first woman to receive the honor at the state's capital building, which drew thousands of mourners.

I happened to drive past a No Kings protest near where I am staying for a few days off. All prosperous white people in an almost exclusively white resort town. Rubber neckers were holding up traffic. I just stared at them. I guess they saw a guy who they thought would be on their side by appearance. I just stared and glared. One young woman waved and smiled. Then she got serious at my not responding. Then she got super upset as I drove away.
Mental illness.

I applaud people who stand up to tyranny, crooked government, and oppression by the way. In the past, people laid down their lives to fight against these causes; these are the real heroes. Standing and holding a sign by itself isn't doing much much, but these people have their hearts in the right place.

At least they aren't SUPPORTING tyranny and corruption like you are.
