I find that the Los Angeles Sheriff's department firing rubber bullets at the Los Angeles Police Department to be quite amusing.
Literally a "Polish Firing Squad" (apologies to ChloeTziki and other Polish keyboard warriors).
It's a perfect metaphor for Don Trump's America: Ready. Fire. Aim.
It's one thing to fire with no regard to civilians caught in the crossfire. Shooting your own similarly-armed allies is "next level incompetence". But hai, erry single one of those duly sworn law endorsement officers had their mandatory six weeks to training to wear the cherished "Badge of Qualified Immunity".

I would like to see this in every city. Everyone proud of their country and celebrating the freedoms that our military has earned for us. But right now this cannot happen.Such a beautiful celebration in our nation’s capital this evening. Pride & Patriotism abounds. Quite a contrast from the anger and hated that occurred in urban centers earlier today.

The anger that sparked the protests in urban centers is more than justified. Because our president is bound determined to strip away everything our military has sacrificed for, with their lives and with their blood. And he needs to be called out on it and he needs to be stopped. Those people in the urban centers are patriots, too, who believe in the promise of America and what it stands for.
Sometimes I think you have forgotten this.

These protests have been happening ever since Trump won the presidency in 2016. They have different names, ex. Women’s March, Resistance, a Day Without Mexicans, No Kings, etc. They’re triggered by TDS.

OTOH, for a long time British conservatives resisted parliamentary reform, wanting to leave the underpopulated rotten boroughs in place, and refuse increasing the representation of new urban centers, on the principle that "Parliament represents land, not people." It's a habit of mind that dies hard. We even have a Senate that represents states, not people.
