When did we stop hearing about the greatness of the American melting pot and start hearing about the holy moral superiority of "diversity" (aka dumbversity)?

Common sense tells a reasonable person that a society in which nobody has anything in common with anyone else is probably not going to remain "great" for too long, and even if it can by some quirk of luck that goes against all common sense, its not going to be a very enjoyable pleasant place to live.

How many people actually enjoy going out in public and being around all this hyper "diversity" of people you have nothing in common with? People are less friendly, more closed off, and less polite around dumbversity. People are far less likely to socialize with their neighbors when they have nothing in common.

If we are going to continue to take unlimited numbers of people from every corner of the world, we have to get back to the melting pot, and ditch the dumbversity cult.

I thought nobody was supposed to "impose values" on anybody. Yet we are told "diversity" is a cherished American "value" that we all must prostrate ourselves in front of.

Isn't it wrong to "impose values" on others?

What is dear witch diversity? I have no witches that are dear to me, and I'm not exactly sure what the spectrum would be of the various types of dear witches.
