This is true, I didn't experience this though for a long time, but when I did, I've made sure to point out I like it to every woman I've been with since. I'm sure that I've gotten as much out of it (especially after they were pierced, love the rings flicked :D ) as they have me returning the favor (and I do enjoy nibbling on a good pair of nipples ;) )

It depends on the person I've noticed. I had a buddy in college get his done, and he didn't flinch. Me on the other hand, it hurt worse then the 3 hour tattoo I had just had finished (did them both the same night lol). It all depends on tollerance I'd say, though I've heard that a lot of women have little orgasms when they get them done, so there might be an incentive for ya ;) They might take a while to heal (watch out you don't catch them during those first weeks, or it will take longer), but it's nice to feel the rings move after that. Definately a unique sensation :D

It's a good deal of pain but only for a few seconds, then to get the ring put in. I just grinned and dealt with it. My nipple is more sensitive now than ever! I highly suggest it.
