There's no careful, scientific study I know of

Mine are a 38D and I barely have any sensitivity through my nipples. I've asked some friends of mine who are more in the A-B ranges and they all say they have a lot of sensitivity. Another friend with a 36C cup says she has some but it depends on the type of stimulation.

In my *ahem* estimation some of the most sensitive nipples I've met have been associated with the 38C-D range support structures. I'll be applying for a grant to study the phenomena now.

I am really not surprised to hear that, as my experience is much more like UG's - big ol' boobs, but not much nipple sensitivity. And amongst the 'larger' women friends of mine I've discussed this with, this does seem to be the case. I went with one good girlfriend of mine when she went for her consultation before having a reduction and the doctor explained that this is usually so, as the nerve tissues are stretched in larger breasts (plus we get quite used to havin' em knocked into stuff, slammed into car doors, and all the other shit they get in the way of).

So us busty chicks, we look better in sweaters, but the smaller-chested girls really do get the better end of the deal, in fact.

By fortunate coincidence I am beginning the study even before securing the funding. Some research is just too important to wait for the NSF to approve it and send off a grant.

Unfortunately I was working RenFest at the time and the thought of newly pierced nipples against my incredibly tight leather bodice was a bit too much so I never did it. I'd still like to do it though when I get the cash..

You know I had the chance to do this right after I graduated high school (my boss's boyfriend was a tattoo artist/piercer and was willing to do them both for $25). Unfortunately I was working RenFest at the time and the thought of newly pierced nipples against my incredibly tight leather bodice was a bit too much so I never did it. I'd still like to do it though when I get the cash..

I wore a snug fitting tank top with a built in bra (i'm a 38D) for about 4 months after. It was most comfortable. I still wear a snug mens ribbed tank to bed every night. (I have 12g curved barbells, going down to 10g soon) The stimulus of them hitting the sheets is too much. AND i still wouldn't trade em. Amazing the things you can do with them <sigh>

The healing time is approx. 4 months of no play. Well worth the wait i might add.

At the rate I'm going 4 months would be no problem! Unfortunately, I don't trust many of the piercers in VT. If I do it, it'll most likely have to wait until the end of March when I go back home to MI for a visit.

I think mine are the 14g I'm not sure can't remember. Anyway, I've gotten mine done twice. Pain's not as big of an issue as we make it out to be. And the whole ring showing through your shirt, I forget about them when I'm dressed and wearing a bra. Until someone stare straight at them, then it's all in the attitude.
