The Donald starts his ninth weak Week and as usual, Tweets his ass into a crack.

Trump blows up at Germany over ‘vast sums of money’ owed to NATO in series of tweets

Following a meeting and press conference with Chancellor Angela Merkel — where Trump refused to shake hands with the German leader and she gave him a dismissive glance when he brought up surveillance of both of them — Trump felt the need to set the record straight in typical Trump fashion on Twitter.

“Despite what you have heard from the FAKE NEWS, I had a GREAT meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel,” Trump began in his first tweet before getting to his latest complaint.

“Nevertheless, Germany owes vast sums of money to NATO & the United States must be paid more for the powerful, and very expensive, defense it provides to Germany!” he continued.

‘I’ve never seen this level of falsehood’: Tapper tells Maher Trump’s behavior is ’empirically indecent’

Trump appears to be unable to distinguish commentary from actual reporting, and Tapper said he refuses to buy into the paradigm that facts are malleable or that “alternative facts” are just as valid as actual empirical evidence.

“The truth of the matter is that there is no bias when it comes to facts and there’s no bias when it comes to decency,” Tapper said. “It’s empirically indecent to make fun of the disabled.”

“That’s just indecent,” Tapper said. “My children know better than that.”

These are lessons, Tapper and Maher agreed, that most people grasp in kindergarten, “Don’t make fun of people, don’t be a racist.”

Trump has changed the Rethuglicans into the Bulls-Anus Party!

Americans still favor Bernie Sanders over Donald Trump

Sixty-one percent of voters had a favorable opinion of Sanders compared to just 44 percent of voters who had a favorable opinion of Trump. Only 32 percent of voters had an unfavorable view of Sanders while 53 percent found Trump unfavorable. Trump’s vice president was also more popular, receiving 47 percent of favorable opinions compared to an unfavorable 43 percent.

Favorable ratings from Fox poll:

Bernie +29
Planned Parenthood +25
Warren +8
Pence +4
Obamacare +3
Trump -9
Ryan -10

I do agree, though, that other Western nations should be paying up their assessments in NATO and the UN. They have the money and are getting the benefit and have been taking a ride on the United States because the United States has been taking the leadership crown. Trump is stomping on that crown now, so the United States can take a seat in the second row and other countries, including Germany, can pay more of the bill as a reflection to stepping up to the international leader role.

Sounds like a good deal for the US. It will mean that the US can substantially cut its defense budget. I'm all for it.

A small slice of the defense budget could pay for everyone's health care and college educations.

Rifts apparent in first Trump-Merkel meeting

In their first in-person meeting Friday in Washington, President Donald Trump and Germany Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke of their "shared interests" and desire to work together. But after the two sparred over immigration and the future of Europe in the course of the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, it was readily apparent that the fissures opened up between the two countries are still gaping.

The businesslike tone of their exchanges also illustrated the distance between the two leaders. When asked by a German reporter about Trump's contrasting style compared with his American predecessors, Merkel observed, with nary a hint of irony, that "people are different." But she didn't deny there were rifts. In their morning discussions, the pair "addressed areas where we disagree," Merkel said, and "tried to find a compromise which is good for both sides.… Sometimes it’s difficult to find compromise, but that’s what we’ve been elected for."

Still, the chancellor insisted the American and German sides were making strides in their meetings on Friday. "It’s much much better to talk to one another and not about one another, and I think our conversation proved this," she said in her opening remarks, nodding to Trump.

The "more than our share" payments signaled for cuts are part of what was sliced out of the State Department's budget, incidentally.

I can't say with confidence that that would be an improvement.

Ah, there's the rub. Trump is a clown. The VP is insidious.

But the real villains (and dummies) are those who voted for him without accepting him for who he openly was and whose interests obviously weren't going to be served by him (there are some fat cats, of course, who are right with him) and those who didn't vote at all because they were pouting that their White Knight was no longer in the running--even though their White Knight had been running against everything that Trump represents.

Yup. And so many of those that voted for Donald or couldn't vote for Hillary will be hurt the most by the policies this administration will try to enact. My only hope is that it hurts enough for them to wake the F up but not so much that it takes the rest of us down with them.

I saw mass stupidity and delusion in this election right under my nose directly. And it was just a microcosm of what is out there. I've said it before and I'll say it again: every lie was believed about Hillary and every despicable act by Donald was denied or rationalized. Further, every "sin" that Hillary was accused of, Donald has been given a pass on.

This is a self inflicted wound.

Absolutely right. The only saving grace from this is that the deplorables are going to be screwed to the wall over their petty irrationality (well, the ones who aren't super rich, like the Donald and are being bolstered.)

Yup. I've got two who are going to be absolutely F'd if Don et al get to enact their budgetary wet dreams. One whose daughter has three children who is heavily dependent on social services. And another whose wife is on permanent disability and medicare.

Yeah that's gonna work out well for both of them.

During their very awkward press conference Friday afternoon, a reporter tried to ask Trump about his lying bullshit about Barack Obama doing a “wire tapp” to him, and as he doubled down and petulantly refused to admit that he’s a bad stupid person who is stupid and bad, and also lies a lot, he tried (“tried”) to add some levity to the situation by referring to the Obama administration and, motioning to Merkel, said, “at least we have something in common, perhaps.” GET IT? OBAMA DID A “WIRE TAPP” TO HER TOO! LOL! FUNNY! WE ARE SORRY BUT ANGELA MERKEL DOES NOT GET YOUR “JOKES,” DONALD TRUMP, AS THEY ARE NOT GROUNDED IN ANY SORT OF TANGIBLE REALITY!

"What A Marooon!"

‘No one is safe’: Ex-North Carolina police chief rips customs agents for detaining him because of his name

Writing on Facebook on Saturday, retired cop Hassan Aden said he was returning from Paris where he helped his mother celebrate her 80th birthday when he was singled out and pulled from line by a customs official at John F. Kennedy International Airport who asked, “Are you traveling alone? Let’s take a walk.”

“I was taken to a back office which looked to be a re-purposed storage facility with three desks and signs stating, ‘Remain seated at all times’ and ‘Use of telephones strictly prohibited’—my first sign that this was not a voluntary situation and, in fact, a detention,” Aden wrote. ” By this point I had informed CBP Officer Chow, the one that initially detained me, that I was a retired police chief and a career police officer AND a US citizen—he stated that he had no control over the circumstance and that it didn’t matter what my occupation was.”

According to Aden after handing his passport over he was told that someone was using his name and that he had had to be cleared “so that I could gain passage into the United States… my own country!!!”

No one is safe from the Trumpsters who have no idea about Justice or the Law.

"President Donald Trump’s latest approval rating has sunk to a new low, according to the latest Gallup poll.

Only 37 percent of American approve of the job Trump is doing, and 58 percent disapprove, the daily poll found Sunday. Those are the worst ratings since he took office eight weeks ago. His approval rating stood at 45 percent just nine days ago."

Today's least surprising news.

Comey Testimony Suggests Trump May Have Committed Impeachable Offense With Obama Wiretap Claim

FBI Director James Comey completely wiped out President Trump’s claim that Obama wiretapped him. Comey said that the FBI has no evidence that Trump was ever wiretapped, and that it is impossible for presidents to order surveillance. Comey took apart every element of the Trump conspiracy.

The fact that the FBI Director has testified that the President Of The United States lied about a US intelligence operation is a potentially impeachable offense. Smearing Obama with libel was horrible, but Donald Trump, as Commander-In-Chief promoted a lie about the government that he is supposed to be leading.

The constitutional definition of high crimes and misdemeanors is vague. Ironically, it was the same vague language that allowed Republicans to try to impeach Bill Clinton for personal conduct that had no relationship to his official duties as president in the 1990s.

Come on Mikey, drop the 25th on this asshole!

Republicans Close To Trump Say President Is Showing Signs Of Mental Illness

These are Republicans close to Trump who claimed that the President Of The United States is paranoid, delusional, and believes that Obama wiretapped him. Wallace’s comments on MSNBC were a statement that the President might be mentally ill.

Before anyone asks, the constitutional standard for the removal of a president contains no discussion of mental fitness. It would be difficult to nearly impossible to remove Trump from office due to mental illness. It would have to be demonstrated that Trump is physically unable to perform the job of president.

Come On, Mikey!
