Night Runner

Bastack turned to Damas and shouted out, "You have deceived me! I will kill you for thissss."
He quickly turned and swung his sword down at the werewolf but before it could touch him Damas moved quickly and jumped up, his claws slicing into Bastack's face. Bastack moved to put his hands to his face but before he could several of the figures collided into him, knocking him to the ground with a crash.

Bastack roared in pain and ripped off a reaver, biting him in half. Then he began to charge through the undergrowth back to his camp. He leaped the final line of trees and ordered all gaurds to begin scouting the forests, stay together, and kill everything. The camp was still at half strength when they departed.

Damas looked at Takatha and said, "Okay, now what. We had him and he escaped. There is no way that we will be able to sneak into the camp, especially now that they are looking for us."

"I say we have a talk with those Reavers. I recognized Theorin Kain. He probaly set out on a contract to kill Bastack, and he probably wouldn't mind having some help", said Takatha, who had turned back to his normal mode. Zyn had followed suit.

Damas looked at Takatha when he recognized the name and said, "I can't go and see him. I have a contract out on me for killing one of the high lords. I don't think that it is something that could easily be forgotten."

Takatha looked at him with a smile that was cold. Damas knew that he was going with the two vampires as he had no other choice.

Takatha smiled and walked into the midst of the Reavers. "Theorin Kain. Hello, it is I, your old Lord, Takatha, the first one you sold out on", he sai, grimacing.

"Hello Theorin Kain. It has been a long time," Damas said, watching Kain and trying to figure out if he knew who the werewolf who had spoken was someone that he was still after.

Kain grimaced also and turned to Damas. "The years haven't changed you much, Damas", he said. "But don't worry, I won't kill you. The old master was killed, making the contract void", he said, smiling.

"That is a great amount of relief. I did not want you hunting me over the world as I know that you never give up. So, what is the plan to get Bastack seeming that he now knows that we are hear and are out to kill him," Damas said with a slight smile although he was still apprenhensive about Theorin Kain.

"Well, from what I hear, Ganth his lord, is demanding that he keep werewolves alive for some reason. You could walk into his tent and say you give up. Later, we could come in and free you", offered Theorin. "I agree. I have also heard reports about the werewolves", voiced Takatha.

Damas looked at the two of them. They had just planned his death and he had had no say in any of it. He then knew that this was the only way and turned to walk away from the reavers towards the camp. As soon as he was inside the camp he was stopped by some guards, "Halt! Who goes there!"

"I am here to give myself up. I was the one who attacked Bastack," Damas said before glancing back, hoping that everyone was right about this.

He was then led to Bastack's tent who stood and glared at the werewolf as soon as he was led it. Before Damas knew what was happening Bastack moved with surprising speed for someone of his size and slammed his hand across Damas' head, causing him to fly through the air and into the side of the tent.

"Foolissssh dog!" he hissed. "If you hadn't of given up I could of been savoring your head right now", he continued. "But the Dark One commands, and I obey", he added. He took Damas and placed him on a chair. "You'r fate will just have to wait", he said.

Damas looked up at Bastack and said, "And what exactly does the Dark One want with me. I am but a lowly werewolf, and not a very special one at that."

As Damas talked he hoped that the Reavers would hurry up and get him out of the tight spot that he was now in.

"Oh, I will ssssavour telling you. After you tell me an oath. You must promise to be under the Dark One's command, to let him rule you", said Bastack. Damas suddenly had a glint in his eye. He thought that if he agreed, he would be able to escape.

OOC: sorry, Angelius, taking liberties, I know, but only to advance the thread.

OOC: Not to worry Morgoth.

IC: Damas looked up at Bastack and said, "Never. I would never join the Dark One. You have to be kidding me!"

The next thing he felt was the hand as it connected with his head and Bastack say, "Very foolisssh werewolf, very foolisssh indeed."

Bastack hit Damas heavily. "Joining the Dark One is your only chance of life, werewolf. You have one more chance to accept, or I will eat you alive, making sure that the healers keep you alive as long as possible", he hissed, already tasting the werewolf. Meanwhile, the Reavers and Takatha and Zyn, who had morphed back into Vivisector, made their way through the camp, stealthily and silently.

"You had better eat me now then. I will never join the Dark One, I would rather kill him."

He stood up then and looked at Bastack who was tensing up for another blow. Damas looked at him in defiance even as Bastack's fist connected with his head and sent him flying against the wall.

"Fine, you don't want to do it the eassy way. But you will ssstill become hisss sssslave", said Bastack. Then a messenger ran into the room and handed the gargantuan lord a pouch. Bastack pulled out a small ruby shard. Then he laughed as another werewolf came in. The werewolf saw Damas and smiled. It showed him his soon to be fate. It lifted it's head, and showed a ruby embedded in it's throat. Then it spoke, but not with any voice that Damas had ever heard. It's voice was dark and terrible, and even Bastack shrinked away. "Foolish werewolf. I hear all that the lizard or shells hear. But I need you. For now", it grinned. Suddenly, Damas slipped onto the ground. And there he stood, in a large, ruined castle. In front of him was a throne. Then, a large, black figure stepped out from in front of the throne. "I am Ganth", said the terrible figure. The figure then hit him once, and Damas went flying through the air, and collided with a wall. He sunk down to his knees. This Ganth was far more powerful than Bastack. After hours of this, Damas woke up, in Bastack's tent. Bastack laughed cruelly. "You have helped us much, werewolf. We now know where the valley of the Vampire Lords is. Thanks to the Dark One", he chuckled. Meanwhile, The Reavers and Takatha had slipped behind the tent.

"Then kill me and get it over with. You have gotten what you need out of me," Damas said as he got to his feet again and looked at Bastack, "or are you too much of a coward to do it yourself."

Bastack growled deeply. "I would gratefully kill you. But the Dark One commands that you will becme a shell", he hissed, pointing to the werewolf now satnding still, Ganth finished with the body for now.

"I will not become something like that!" Damas shouted out before he jumped up and slashed Bastack's face with his claws, making deep gashes appear in his face.

"You will pay for that, wolf", he said in rage as he picked up Damas and began to strangle the life out of him. Suddenly, the back of the tent was lifted and Kain, Takatha, and Zyn stepped in. Kain quickly grabbed a dagger and drove it into Bastack's side. Then, a great sqwaking arose outside the tent. Bastack, meanwhile, had whirled about and dealt bone shattering blow to kain, sending him flying. But in that time, he had dropped Damas. "Come on Damas, let's go!" shouted Takatha, grabbing Bastack's maps, before charging off.

Damas looked at Takatha and the others before he ran off into the night, all the while hearing Bastack scream out. He knew that if they stopped then they would surely be dead. As soon as they were far away to stop Damas turned to Takatha, Zyn and Kain and said, "Thank you for rescuing me but you shouldn't have as I gave up the location of the Valley of the Vampire Lords but I didn't give it up willingly. I was transported to Ganth and he tortured it out of me."

"It's fine. They had put it down on the maps, but I got them right here", said Takatha, patting the bundle under his shoulder.

"But what do we do about Bastack. I for one will not let him live for what he did to me."

He stopped and looked back in the direction of the camp and wondered if he would meet Bastack again, he secretly hoped for it.
