By the time he's done for sure, he should be firmly in the conversation. No one has done what he has in such a short time in the modern era. Not even close. I'm a huge Bear Bryant fan but Saban rivals his accomplishments too..Sabans recruiting in itself speaks volumes..

Yeah, you're right...being a great recruiter has nothing to do with being number one..and staying there.

They were huge before Saban came along. Recruiting for any consistent top 10 team can't possibly be difficult.
I am not knocking Saban as a coach. Not really as a person either altho I think he's kinda scummy. I just wanna punch him. Same reason I wanna bunch that Hogg kid. His face was just made for it.

Actually, Saban completely turned the program around..we were in terrible disarray, coaching fuck ups..and hadn't won a NC since 93..
If recruiting were that easy...everyone would be doing it so well.
I always wanted to bop that fatass from Arkansas..lol

Spoken like a true homer. Considering you guys don't play anyone for the first 5 games of the season. On average you blow out the Florida A&Ms out by 70 to pad your stats yeah hes a great coach.Nick and Urban are cut from the same Cloth.

You have to remember the basketball scandal hasn't been put to bed yet. There is to much money and power in play for it not to affect some football programs. The only reason we have not heard anything more on the basketball front is the FBI told everyone to be quiet till they are done investigating and the first trial started last Monday.
