Quite possible.
The Vikings defensive line just got an immediate upgrade with Jared Allen and it was awfully good before that.
They've already got a pretty darn good running game.
They really only need a few pieces to be serious contenders. Depends on what they manage to get out of the draft, but giving up their 1st and both 3rd round picks, says they're not very likely to pick up much talent this year. Maybe they find a few diamonds in the rough, but the odds are against it.
Even without that, they'll still be pretty good this year. Good possibility they are contenders in the NFC.

I think that's one of the pieces they're missing otherwise I'd say they are the NFC favorites.
QB is a pretty important piece to be missing.

With the huge contract they just handed Allen, I don't think they could afford McNabb.

I meant that earlier in the offseason when it was rumored that they were looking at him. If they had gone after him instead of Allen i think they would have put them over the top. I don't see them getting far int he playoffs if they make it there with Jackson. He's just not consistent enough.

I'm not sold on him either, but he doesn't really need to be a Peyton Manning with Peterson behind him. He really only needs to be a Brad Johnson.

We're going to the Live Draft Party at Dolphin Stadium tomorrow so I've returned to take a more serious look at some of you ppl's predictions.
I'm really not all that enthused, though. Haven't had football on my mind since the Giants kicked Patriot ASS and the Pro Bowl. Congrats to Eli Manning on his recent marriage, btw.
There will be no Zach Thomas, no Jason Taylor (told y'all he'd be great on Dancing With the Stars!), no Ricky Williams, no Wes Welker, no Chris Chambers ...and hells bells, the Colts don't even get a 1st round draft pick! Plus no Brady Quinn type expectations/disappointments do I expect.
Oh well, here's hoping all your fave teams get some good picks!
