The problem is having a dream and then never leaving room for change...so to speak.

Sometimes even dreams need room for improvement, for life situations, for the dreams of others...

I agree. A dream is but gossamer, a veil that clouds. Pretty but carried off by competing winds. But there is beauty in watching it fly. And launching it to the winds, untethered, can free oneself from the rigor of grasping.

I have to disagree with you there.

I'm sorry...but "competing winds" again just make it seem so...I don't know...

I think sometimes you have to ask yourself...do you want to watch it fly away or do you revel in the beauty it can give you?

Setting something free, such as a gossamer, a dream or even a person, doesn't necessarily make the other person feel any better. Not unless that person (the launcher) has dug deep within him/herself and realized that that wasn't what they wanted at all so they set "it" free.

Obviously holdin gon too tight doesn't work either...but then there is a balance that has to be given by both.

Not everything beautiful is perfect...and not everything perfect is beautiful....

Interesting discussion. Gossamer bound is but a knot. Beauty hostilly bound is resentment initiated. Besides, beauty revels in many adorations. Like flame, tis better to watch it dance from afar less one get burned.

gossamer can be cobwebs too...and those form when something is so steadily set in place and never moves.

You've never reached out and passed your finger over a flame? The bright yellow-orange isn't what burns you, it when you put your finger deeper into the blue flame that burns...

A flame dies when someone decides they don't want it anymore and then with one breathe, can make it disappear.
