And especially the part when he clicks off her garter and she says "Oh, My!"

That is one of my all time favorite movies. I love that line too and the scenes are awesome between them...makes me go Oh My! too.

I also love the look on her face when she goes into the kitchen the next morning, the mess everywhere and the look of being absolutely sated on her face.

See? I thought this would be more difficult to describe than initially thought. While I think we can all "feel" the definitions, how do we explain them? Leave it to me to make things difficult...though I do love awakening the mind and not just the body.

Myst~I like your definition...but now you need to define "beauty".

I think it is that quality that makes your writing so enticing Bash. You engage the body, the emotions, the senses and the mind......you set the scene so a vivid picture is imprinted and then draw all the senses in. That brings the sensual in, and then the feelings expressed, the desire, draws it all together for the sensuous. But this again does not define it.

Beauty, now I don't think you could pick a more subjective word. Beauty can be anything that is pleasing to the senses, the mind, the spirit. Anything that speaks to us with a positive energy on any level. With that said, beauty could be considered sensuous as it engages the senses. And that simply takes us back around the circle.

Well, I'm not getting into beauty yet, have to think about that one a bit. But I find it interesting that before I ever looked up the actual definitions, my statement about sexual being the physical act and sensual including all of the senses fits closely with the definitions of the words. Of course, we each know what our personal definition of each is whether we can verbalize it or not. We recognize the sensual in Bash's musings and respond to it. Which I think is the point, anyway.

Also, Honey stating that Bash is a sensuous man is interesting considering this definition of sensuous: Highly appreciative of the pleasures of sensation. I would say that definition is right on.

So, Bash, can we look forward to you ever thinking of putting these musings into some kind of longer story? I would love to see what you do with that.

I've been talking to him about it. I understand why he hasn't, but I would certainly like to see what he did with an entire story. He has such a wonderful way of weaving the senses together to create such a great response. I'd love to see something from him.
