Her
At 5’8”, 5’10” with the heels, with eyes that swam between green and brown, she was the perfect hostess. Greeting each by name, remembering spouses and children’s names, she swept about the room in her flowing emerald dress which hinted at her well shaped form beneath. Her long, auburn hair draped down over the open back of the dress, stopping exactly mid-point between her shoulders and the rise of her buttocks. The luxurious locks were only slightly trimmed, her make up minimal, showing that while she cared for her appearance, she was not vain. All together, she conveyed natural beauty. A beauty of self-confidence. And while she was stunningly beautiful, it was the light from within that radiated her splendor. She was beautiful enough to turn heads and stops men’s hearts, but was the type that when men looked, it wasn’t just for lust…it was a look of yearning…a yearning that here is a woman I might spend the rest of my life with.
Even more remarkable, was the intelligence underlying her grace. An educated woman, she held a nursing degree and an MBA. She was now the head of a local, fair sized, medical center. And since she had taken over, margins were up and employee turnover was down, showing her ability to lead and manage people as well as business.
She had loved before. Loved so deeply and profoundly that she almost lost her own sense of self in his. She was devastated when David left her five years ago. Since then, she has allowed other lovers into her bed, some of which she even knew and liked, but none into her heart. Determined she was to never be hurt so crushingly again. Lovers were merely to fill the void when she didn’t want to be alone…or when she needed someone on her arm for an event.
