Happy New Year, sweetie. I hope that this year brings you all the things you desire. You deserve happiness and I just know you're going to find it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

It's tradition in the house of Bash that the first productive day of the year be a naked one...so ya'll take off those clothes, ya hear?

*wanders in, absently stripping off clothes, then sitting down on sofa waiting for coffee....*

Yummmy. Pardon me while I wipe the drool off my face, darlin'. My apologies for being so late in bringing you coffee. It's been one of those weeks, yanno? Lots of road time...so while I've had "free time", very little has been available for being online.

Staggering In...

Wow, what a rough couple of weeks!!! And in the midst of everything, my *()(&*(&&*(&*&&^ phone decides to die on me...slowly. First, it stopped with texting. Then it wouldn't hold a charge. Then it decided that it wouldn't even take any charge!

How are ya'll doing?

I'm contemplating writing a romance novel. I know...I know...how horrible! But they sell! Anyhow, here's a character development I'm working on.

He wasn’t overly tall at 6’2” but the calm self-assurance when he entered a rom put him a head above others. Of indeterminate age, one couldn’t tell if he was 30 or 40. His sense of self, his confidence in his abilities, his drive, and his accomplishments, all made one think of him as being in his forties…a very successful forties. But his features made one think of thirty. In truth, he was 32 which surprised most who worked with him. His dark, almost black hair and Mediterrainian complexion gave an appearance of a permanent tan. Combined with his square jaw and long lashes, he was a very attractive man that drew the stares of women at first.

However, it was his brilliant, light green eyes to which people were drawn. They conveyed intelligence, wisdom, knowledge…and, if one looked long enough, a deeply hidden pain. He knew he was attractive but didn’t realize, or perhaps admit, just how attractive he was. Once someone glanced away from those piercing eyes, they noticed his lips. Not full but not thin. They betrayed the sense of mirth that underlayed his outwardly serious appearance. But those eyes…those eyes that would only look at the woman he was with. Giving to her his total attention. Somehow, they just knew that here was a man full of passion and absolutely dedicated to the one woman who might keep him.

A man equally comfortable in jeans or a tuxedo, underneath both lied a well toned body. In a cabin or a boardroom. A man who sought out company, making others feel at ease in his presence but who still seeks occasional solitude and is comfortable being alone.

He wasn’t rich, not anymore. He grew up broke, not poor. And he respected those who knew the difference. Putting himself through college, he nurtured his entrepreneur spirit. Upon graduation he found a mentor and worked hard. His mentor has passed away recently but he wasn’t sad. His mentor lived what he taught: to grasp life, to seek out the positive and beautiful every day in everything, and to enjoy the journey.
Like most entrepreneurs, he made his money and lost it. And like most successful businessmen, viewed the loss as merely a small detour. He knew he would make his money back again. He was already making progress. Not rich, but back to upper middle class. And money in and of itself meant nothing to him. However, he did enjoy the finer pleasures that money afforded him…a decent home, a decent boat (32 ft), the ability to travel, fine wine, and being able to give to charities. Oh, and he loved being able to treat a woman to new memories and experiences. Sometimes with money and sometimes by life’s simplest moments. Taking her to a museum, letting her drive the boat and feeling the freedom it provided, teaching her to throw a Frisbee…or how to identify constellations in the night.

LOL....well, ya need a teensy weensy plot.....I mean, there has to be the habitual misunderstanding leading to him hating her for something she hasn't done only to find that he can't stay away from her and is falling in love only she doesn't know it and she's breaking her heart leading her to decide to move to the other side of the world only to have the misunderstanding resolved while she's at the airport and him rushing to stop her catching the flight and them both living happily ever after.....or something like that....:D

Can you tell I've read a few romance novels in my time? ;)

*has another little sneaky fondle while he's trying to make sense of the post*

**trying to read post but being pleasantly distracted by fondling**

I do have one. But I can't give it away here! Someone might steal it and create their own. Not that anyone here would be such a plagerising ass and take another's idea and claim it to be their own trying to take credit because they are incompetent and unethical...

More please. mmm
