Where will you be? Who will be with you? What will you be doing at the beginning of 2007?

I've just sorted mine out. My closest friend who I met in nursery school will be accompanying me to the beach, where we'll be smoking the finest weed, eating a heap of junk food and letting off a small fortune's worth of fireworks.

It might have been a crap year, but it's going to have the most magical, fairytale ending :cathappy:

I wish so much that I could invite everyone from the AH

I'll probably be asleep. No where to go except to bed.

I am going out with friends tonight though.

We do a ritual were we write down the things we want to let go of that happened that year, and burn it in a clay bowl... then we make our "resolutions" for the coming year... set intentions for what we hope for in the coming year...

We usually make homemade pizzas for dinner and at midnight, the kids that manage to stay awake (or the ones we can wake up!) get root beer floats and we watch the ball drop, of course... :)

Me, my sister, her boyfriend, my ex, a priest and a goth girl will be in the priest's apartment with the kickass view, drink black russians, listen to David Bowie and play Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Voleyball II.

I will be in my house by the beach watching the youngsters get drunk.

My first aid kit and mobile phone will be ready.

Most of the time they just enjoy themselves. Very rarely things get nasty and police or ambulance help may be needed. Or just somewhere to shelter while their long-suffering parents come to collect tearful teenagers.

with my mom, watching tv, listening to the roar of the crowds

New Years Leave

I'll be in between.

During the day we have our annual dysfunctional family reunion and gift exchange where I keep my mouth shut and pray for deafness.

I can't celebrate too late tonight as I'm heading to
tampa in the morning for the OUtback Bowl to watch my beloved Nittany Lions.

There'll be fireworks in the neighborhood and a few police sirens in the distance as the ball drops. :nana:

i'll be here, alone except for the Bodyguard and the pets.

Not saying what we'll be doing.

Easy answer. The same thing I've done for years. Sitting at home with a brand new bottle of Tullimore Dew, drunk on my ass :D

Here at home with the wife........maybe go first footing to the bestest buddy. She's a Scot, and New Year is sacrosanct to her. She never goes anywhere, she opens the windows at midnight to let out the old year, and let in the new, has the pipes playing, has a glass of some pleasant liquor. In the past I have turned up and she simply handed me a glass, hugged me, and we see the new year in together, in companionable silence, listening to the pipes, the fireworks from nearby celebrations, ships horns from along the coast, people cheering in the street.........then I spend the next half an hour trying to get through to my kids on my mobile....the networks are completely clogged.

I will be sitting at home doing the same thing I do every New Year's Eve. Not a damn thing.

I'll be guzzied up and clubhopping, trying to pick up some cute, well-endowed guy to shag. ;)

Wish me luck!

Good luck, flicka!

I'll be going out to Colinton Hill to watch the fireworks above Edinburgh Castle and the other six hills with my family. We'll listen to the bagpipes and share a few wee drinks with the other few hundred people there. (There're normally a few hundred folk on each of the seven hills.)
Princess St in the centre of Edinburgh is too busy, normally about 250 000 happy peeps milling about.
We'll wander back home and have a few drinks with the neighbours.

Monday is likely to be a long lie in.

Be prepared for some really foul weather forecast for Scotland on New Year's Eve.

We've got it down here now. I've already lost four fence panels blown out by the wind tonight and I'm expecting to lose some roof tiles. What is scheduled for Scotland is much worse.

Good luck. Keep the family well anchored down. Maybe a stomach full of porridge will be enough...

Par-tee at the local watering holes.

I was the DD last year and that weren't no fun.

But this year--another round bartender.

Come Monday, to quote Fats Domino:

"...my head is bad
but it's worth it for the time that I had."

Happy New Year folks.

Peace (in 2007).

seems i will be going to a party or two with a friend who has her birthday tomorrow... gotta think of a present still...

Depends on the weather.

If it's nice then the wife and I will be getting dressed nicely and heading downtown to celebrate at the local street party there. We will get home sometime around 0200. On Monday we shall of course sleep in, if the "Herd" allows it. (I may just close the bedroom door.) Lst year it was cool so the wife wore her Party Jeans and a leather jacket. The year before it was nice and warm so she wore a Silk Peasnt Blouse and a Mini Skirt with nothing but her underneath. I'm hoping for a nice warm and rainfree evening.

If it's going to rain we'll rent several movies and stay home.

happy new year everyone, whatever you do!

I will be home alone, perhaps here a bit, working on the things I want to strengthen in the coming year - my writing, my artwork and other things. I'll reflect on the past year a bit and write something of how I am going to improve myself in the coming year.
