"I was the 3rd fastest sprinter in my class circa 1977."

In a district Scout Sports day in 1957 (50th anniversary year) I came third in a scout race earning points for my troop. I still have the certificate.

But I was the only member of the troop of the right age for that race, and there were only three in the whole district. I was ten seconds behind the winner. But I won the hammer throw, the shot putt and the discus.

Today? It is too hot. The temperature in our house is 31.5 - outside? I have no idea. I'm not going out.
