If anyone brings tripe, they will be refused entry, warm room and charity will be out the window. Standards!
Now each to his own. As long as they do not force it on others then by all means bring what you like.

Northern Rhyming Slang
Bobbins - short for Bobbins of Cotton - rotten

Even more confusing
Bollock meaning rubbish
Dogs Bollocks meaning brilliant
Do you know the expression: he has a neck like a jockey’s bollocks? 😂😂😂

I didn't know that there was Northern rhyming slang. Do you have any more examples?

ah yes "I made an mistake"
quite different to dropping ones guts
i believe 'dropping one's guts' translates to American quite easily, though i've almost never heard an American use the word 'bollocks'. It's a bit like their use of 'twat'... they tend to rhyme it with 'hot' instead of 'hat' 🤭

The Liverpool accent is the best for saying twat.

Twot is the posh version of twat

Without researching twot I wouldn't say that was a posh way of saying twat and I quite like to play a posh bird every so often

I worked out in New Zealand for a while. 'Twot' was popular there - although it was still spelled twat.
