Ever story posted to Literotica goes through Laurel. It's kind of a bottle neck, but it's her site and it's how she maintains the level of quality that she wants.
Surely it's a series of readers... I don't know about you, but I'd shoot myself in the face if I had to read every single story across every single category that gets posted to this site.![]()
I'm just repeating what I've heard from several long-timers around here. Supposedly ever story gets at least a cursory look from Laurel. Of course, it's possible I've been misinformed.
That is my understanding. Laurel told me that between she and Manu they have a handful of help, but I think the help is on the sales or technical sides, not on the editorial side. They work seven days a week, and Laurel said that since the site started in 1998 she's been away from it for a total of about ten days.

Hi, I just submitted my first story and was curious as to how long it generally takes to have it posted? I would like to hold off on writing a follow up until I get some feedback.
There even are a few threads which were updated in the past few weeks talking about this. Apparently some categories also has a different 'lag' as apparently Laurel doesn't check those a lot, or takes more time for them, like the audio-one. But generally? For me, it takes 2-3 days by average. The first one took a little longer though, but that could've been just me clicking the damn 'preview' button every hour.Hi, I just submitted my first story and was curious as to how long it generally takes to have it posted? Why would I want to do that! Then all you better writers go read and criticize my stuff! No, I'm perfectly satisfied with the bunch of people who can't write a story to save their lives to vote for my storiesIf you want feedback from some of the authors once its live start a thread here and post the link to the story.

Make sure you really submitted the story and not just saved it as a draft. I made that mistake with my first story and wondered why it didn't get published...
New story --> complete the form --> click on "Preview" and when everything is to your liking --> go on "Submit for Publication"
