Hi, I posted a story on Reddit and it was taken down because the mods felt it was AI generated, because it had a lot of dialog, not a ton of sex, and a few other things. The mods mentioned that many things associated with good normal writing were not considered good writing in erotica.

So I am wondering if there’s a handy guide to writing erotica that people frequently recommend?

Look at the source, most people on Reddit can't read, let alone write.

This site is for erotic stories so just give it a try here.

Ignore what people on Reddit say, and just submit your story here and see what happens. That is what all of us have done. It's the best guidance you can get.

...the mods felt it was AI generated, because it had a lot of dialog, ...

That is a fuckin' load of unadulterated :poop:. Really. One of the hallmarks of AI is inability to compose dialog that makes any sense. AI will go on and on with flowery narrative like a 6th grader trying too hard with a thesaurus site open, but realistic dialog? Not so much.

Those Reddit reviewers would go apoplectic over what I write, which is usually 95% dialog between multiple people, and frequently the sex is implied. They simply haven't a clue of what they're talking about.

I wonder if the mods ever read a story published on Black Mask- Oh, wait, these are Reddit mods, alright...

I mean I get that Reddit has a lot of population, but one of the reasons I refused to publish there is that the site as a whole isn't built with the purpose of reading stories in mind. The power tripping mods are just a common denominator on all subreddit anyways it's just expected.

Since you're here... Why not try it here as LC68 suggests?

Most are pretty good, but the Lit one is both the Hemmer and the Roid.
