Andy finished unpacking the final boxes, he went to his new backyard and thought since it was getting late, he'd just cook a burger or two in the grill.
He was new to the neighborhood, just out of college, he was able tofind a good job, and move into a small house in a middle class area. The house next to him was much larger, and it looked to have many residents. He wasn;t sure if it was one extended family or different families, but they seemed to be of all ages and all speak the same language. They kept to themselves and didn't wave or say hello.
He did notice one member of the family more than others, she was in her late teens or early twenties, and she was one of the most beautiful girls she had ever seen. On one trip in the house as he was moving in, he smiled and waved to her, she started to smile back but then suddenly looked away and went back into the large house

Annie had notice the new neighbor but she was not use to talk to strangers. Unlike her relatives, she was a little introverted. Ever since the time he waved at her, she couldn't get him out of her mind, wondering what kind of person he was and if he was a good person... After a few times of dodging, he sneak on her balcony to watch him work, finding him fixing the tv. The more she observe she found him attractive. Unlike her, he seem more outgoing and that made her even more curious. She sat down, her red hair blowing in the wind wearing a summer dress, white with flowers. She couldn't seem to take her eyes off of the man and found herself wanting to know his name. She knew her parents never approve of her dating but she always wanted a boyfriend like all her friends at school.

He was hooking up the cable connection to a TV that he had on his litle screened in outside porch. He felt someone looking at him, he looked up and the pretty girl from next door was watching him.
He waved and smiled, like he had done the other day. She turned around, making sure no one was watching and waved back and smiled sweetly. It was the first time anyone from that house had ever interavted with him. She really is cute, he thought...and shy.....and with an unfriendly family.....be careful, he thought to himself.

Annie always made sure her parents were not around as she finally summon courage to wave at him. She was thinking of ways to contact him without being caught. She quickly stood up as she heard a sound but realize it was only her pen that had fallen in the ground. She suddenly ran to her room and wrote him and note.She came back outside making the paper an airplane and aim it to his place. The notes: Hi, i am Annie...welcome to the neighborhood

Now there is a low tech method of communication, he thought.
He went outside, grabbed the paper airplane and wrote on it.

HI ANNIE, THANKS FOR THE WELCOME
MY NAME IS ANDY
WHERE IS YOUR FAMILY FROM?
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY

He sailed it back to her, it landed on her balcony and she ran over to pick it up.
