New Story Reviews (volunteers welcome!)

Thank you DK

The Second Time Around
DG Hear

A story written with DG's flare for the romantic. Interesting and sweet with a touch of the adorable. DG always manages to bring his characters to life and can add just the right amount of violence, sex and storyline to keep it interesting. I gave it a five.

Thank you DK, always a pleasure to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed the story. With sincere thanks.

There aren't really a great many stories up this morning (I think I'm probably reading a little too early today) but this is what I read out of what was there. I'll probably go back and read more after I wake up a little more.
Falling.

The Proper Training of a Roommate
cherries_on_snow
How-to
This is more of a tongue in cheek look (IMHO) view of how to manipulate a roommate than anything else. It's written from a female viewpoint with a male roommate (I think), and how to train him properly. Then again, it might be female/female. It's cute, light-hearted, and slightly sly around the edges. I enjoyed it, as it was a quick read and something that didn't make my poor brain hurt before coffee. Very cute. This is in the How-To section, which means it's probably part of the contest, so we can add this to the realm of supporting our fellow authors as well.

Dark Impulse 13
Aurora Black
Celebrities
Okay, I have not, admittedly, read the rest of this story. I may get to it (not anything against Rora, I just have a short attention span lately) but this is a wonderful chapter, at least. It gives enough backstory into the relationship between the two main characters that you don't feel completely lost, but has enough drama and mystery to keep you from getting bogged down in history, and make you wonder what happens next. I have a feeling the whole series is like this, which is just depressing to a fellow fanfic writer. Well done, Rora.

Katherine
ivvin
Romance
This is a first submission for this author, and there's a very strong voice starting to emerge behind this. This is a sweet, well-executed one night stand story, touched with sentiment, and, although there were minor glitches of flow and description, a really, really nice read. It's stroke with a bit of tenderness to it, which is wonderful (IMHO). I'm hoping this new author keeps the good work up, and refines that voice that I could see just under the surface of Katharine. Well done, ivvin.

That reminds me to do my reviews tomorrow. More than the 3 I did last time, I hope.

Well, there isn't much to choose from today... I think I counted maybe a dozen stories with today's date. I'll try to add more later.

Thanks for the warning. :D

There are actually 32 stories up today... I already did 3... and then this one caught my eye.

Harvest Moon
Alicia NIght Orchid
Non=erotic
This is an INCREDIBLE futuristic political thriller that was eye-catching from the first sentence. It is beautifully written from a technical standpoint, and has a feeling of true urgency and danger to it, as well as a very wry thumbing of the nose at the current (and possibly future) US government. I'm normally quite supportive of my country (if not its leaders) but this was just marvelous. I definitely recommend an RCV on this.

I've got one, so far.

Harvest Moon
Alicia Night Orchid
Non-erotic

This story reminded me of Orwell's 1984. It's quality piece of writing that sent chills down my spine, because I can see this coming. The author kept me fascinated and brought tears to my eyes. In my opinion, it's a must read.

I want to say more, but I don't want to give anything away.

LOL, sorry y'all. FTF beat me to it, with a much better review I might add.

This one caught my eye, so I thought I'd drop in a review.

Caledonia Ch. 04: Kidnapped
by IrisCitadel

I'm certainly going to have to go back and read the rest of this story, which is Sci-Fi with M/s elements. Even without having read the previous chapters, I have a good sense of who the main characters are and what they're about from this one. While there is no actual sex, there is plenty of eroticism in this chapter of the tale. It's only one Lit page long, and the action keeps moving quite well. Five from me.

I was getting withdrawals from reviewing and this story struck me.

A Full Circle
Enamored

A very romantic tale that could go into loving wives as well. Four Lit pages long, interesting enough so that you don't notice the length and get to the end and wish for more. If you're looking for something to grab at your emotions, this is the piece for you to read. I very much recommend it. I gave it a five though I was wishing for a six.

Past The Point of Pain- Ch.2 by truesdoll

http://english.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=256875&page=2

Category: BDSM

Review: Great BDSM tale! I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very intense and told things from the sub side of it with the full extent of frustration, discomfort, pain, and pleasure. Rather believable too. Especially liked how he refused to let her piss in private, thus reminding her that he truly owned her, with everything that came with that territory. Everything is under his control. Got me aroused, I admit.

Weekend With Sandy by JuliaDixon

Category: Lesbian Sex

Review:

I really enjoyed this lesbian tale. It was fast-paced, but not too rushed to have an element of drama and suspense, it was sensual, it was a wild romp all the way through, had the "grudge fuck" quality to it that I sometimes love, and it had a strong indication of the protagonist's motives.

Between the quasi-incest of Sandy fucking both her and her mother, the idea that Sandy had of a threesome with her mom (too bad it was vetoed, but I can understand why), and the foursome with Sandra and Eden dominating the main character, it was a great tale. I really enjoyed the strap-on and anal stuff as well, not to mention the increase in the protagonist's overt submission.

3rd Review:

Some International Flavor- gizmo52242
http://english.literotica.com:81/stories/storyfeedbackboard.php?id=257058

Category: Loving Wives

Review:

The moment I saw the description, I knew that I wouldn't back-click this like I would with most LW stories. Yes, there is cheating, but it's handled in a way that it's more of a guilty pleasure to read than a sermon against or advocacy in favor of infidelity. It's just a plain, straightforward stroke story. Pure, unadulterated (pun intended) smut, but great smut at that. Only the odd style of the paragraphs detracted from it at all.

It's very erotic, very naughty, and the sensuality of it more than makes up for the fact that she is cheating on her beau. The variety of styles, the exotic appeal of an Albanian woman, the fact that a couple is venturing into an open marriage for the first time, with all of the excitement and novelty of first-time swingers, and the eagerness of the other woman really help give it a great deal of stroke appeal.

As stroke stories go, this one is one of the best new ones. I will keep my eye on Giz now. The "raw sex" and lack of condoms added to the eroticism of it. It also didn't hurt that there was some suspense over whether the husband would agree to open up the marriage. Perhaps a sequel with the beau being involved and fucking the wife would be a great idea. Just a thought.

Final Review for today:

Silent Night- SelenaKittyn
http://english.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=257131

Category: Erotic Horror

Review:

This is one of SK's darkest, most morbidly fascinating tales. Not for those seeking a jerk-off story. It is not so much a sex story (though some sex is mentioned) as a psychologically driven short about a man's deep turmoil and the complete mental breakdown that he suffers. Still, a high-quality short. Intense. Extremely so.

A truly disturbing look into an angry, bitter man's life. The exact details are left enough of a mystery, but hints are sufficient to tell us that he is snapping. Snapping under the pressure of primary custody, divorce, an unfaithful wife that he clearly hates now, paranoid confusion between wife and daughter, and the ex's twisted friend. Very solid tale of misdirected rage and malice.

As always these are simply my thoughts after reading and reviewing the stories that have been posted to Literotica today. Any author’s mentioned will receive a PM or feedback from me with the link to the thread. Please Read, Vote, and Comment on stories (and poems) it is the only way that authors can grow and improve in their craft.

And now for my thoughts….

For the Sake of Charity
Author: techsan
Category: Erotic Couplings
POV: First
My thoughts: I thoroughly enjoyed this tale. It was sweet and had a basis in what could actually happen. I was happy to see a real sized woman used in the story and the underlying theme of breast cancer awareness and research made me smile. I gave the story a 5 simply because it made me happy at the end of it. I highly recommend it.

Rough Riders
Author: Texan065
Category: Gay Male
POV: First
My thoughts: I have a special place in my sexuality for gay male stories. This one was rough, hot and wild. This was not a gentle love story. I tend to think that maybe this is how some relationships happen… hard, wild and they burn out quickly. I liked the story simply because it was a fast hard fuck, something you read because you want it to blow your mind while blowing your load.

Hush, Little Baby
Author: SelenaKittyn
Category: Fetish
POV: Third Person
My Thoughts: I am not sure what I had in my mind when I started reading this story. Not what I ended up with however. I felt like I was missing something, or missing part of the story. I think that maybe I was supposed to make leaps in logic or in parts of the story so that I could understand what happened. It was well written, please understand that but I was confused by the story. Maybe if there had been a little more background information I would have understood how Leslie came to the decisions that she did and how Molly fit into the story better.

Booty Club
Author: Black Snake
Category: Incest/Taboo
POV: First Person
My thoughts: Slutty, naughty and hot. A stroke story with hot wet incest written all over it. Do not read this story if you are wanting something light and gentle, this is NOT the story for you. If you want some hot sex and some ‘caress fiction’ then by all means have it at.

Bound To The Tree
Author: fantasticpussy
Category: Nonconsent/Reluctance
POV: Third Person/First Person
My thoughts: Umm. I am not a big fan of stories that give numerical measurements instead of describing the size, width, girth, and fullness of the body parts involved in the story. I was… slightly stunned upon reading this story. I guess I expected more and was sorely disappointed. There was very little plot, very little in the way of scenes, and truly I was glad that it was only one Lit page long. I hope that this author works on their craft a bit more.

There were probably many more stories to offer up today but I read most and reviewed these. Have a wonderful day and happy writing.

Seventy-Five new stories today... lots of new authors posting, and some interesting offerings today... here are a few...

Shelly Sings Willie's Blues by Decayed Angel is a sweet and sexy story in the Mature category. The dialogue and character interaction was well done, the sex was hot, and I loved the musical aspect to the piece. The only thing that bothered me was that the sex seemed to happen a little too fast for my taste.

Under the Harvest Moon by Alicia Night Orchid is a futuristic tale in the Non-Erotic category that conjectures a future where Jeb Bush (B3!) has been elected and the world has gone retro (via Orwell's 1984). It's short and has an interesting premise, although there's a lot of "telling not showing" here. Still, enjoyable read.

Professor In Love: A Story by brand new writer BellaStone is a real gem in Erotic Couplings. I think this one should have gone into Mature, myself. I loved these characters! The dialogue and interaction was fantastic. A little too much telling in this one, but the characters make up for it. Worth a read!

Risk and Reward by Yossarian1113 is another that I thought might do better in a different category--Romance rather than Erotic Couplings? Still, a young girl's awakening set in another time and place, a romantic hero and secret sexual trysts, plus hot sex, equals a good start! Interested to see where this is going...

The Story of Emma by new writer Darmasana in the Mind Control category (and I’m not sure I understand this category choice?) starts out with a fantastic analogy. It falls apart somewhat in the middle (there is an epidemic of telling-not-showing today!) and is much too short and underdeveloped (even as a character study), but this writer shows real potential. I look forward to more by this author.

Just Like That is a first offering from Ghost-Girl and I really found myself drawn into this Nonconsent/Reluctance story by the premise. I think it needed a little work (the dialogue all in italics was bothersome to me) but this author, too, has potential and I'm looking forward to more.

Doctor's Rewards by new writer Katgrl in the Gay Male category had me interested in a cat. I don't even normally read. Very hot, although short, fantasy encounter. Well-done. This author has real promise.

Loving in Silence: Wet Agreement is RedHairedandFriendly's continuation of a story about a deaf couple contemplating a threesome. It's a good series so far, definitely hot, and great chemistry between the two main characters.

And finally…

Monogamy, Menage A Trois, Polygamy by Elizabeth T is a How-To that is well-written, informative and brings up a lot of thought-provoking questions about relationship.

--------

That's all for today from me. If I missed any that you really enjoyed, feel free to mention them. Don't forget to go Read, Comment and Vote!

I'll take one today since LadyCibelle is still not feeling up to par (Get well soon!)

Death Can Be Fun Ch. 01~Non-Human
by: Otazel

This one had me laughing, not to say that it didn't have plenty of hot, erotic scenes, but the character in question is just wonderfully amusing. I would say that the character moves off the page and becomes a living, breathing person telling you the tale, but he's dead so that doesn't exactly work. Our spooky storyteller feels very natural and realistic as you read.

Written from the perspective of a ghost that has just crossed over, the "rules" of being one of the wandering dead are unique and create situations uncommon for an erotic ghost tale.

The story is a wonderful combination of humor, eroticism, and a creative rule system that will present plenty of opportunities for future chapters. Five from me, for sure.

Saturday's Reviews... sorry about the late hour of the day!

How to be a Naughty Girl by Alicia Night Orchid - How to - 4 - This is a fun How to... I enjoyed the “lessons” in being naughty. I think Alicia did a great job, and managed to weave a sexy story in between the lesson.

Janie in the Library Ch. 02 by divergirlxoxo - Mature - 5 - This story was sweet, romantic, tender, heart-warming and delectable. I loved it. I will read chapter one later. A story of a love that should be denied, but can’t be.

Cabin Romance Ch. 01 by CocoaSmoothie - Interracial Love - 5 - I thought this was a great story. It is detailed with some, but not a lot of dialog. The paragraphs are a bit long and could have been separated, but not removed. Great read about some hot oral in a cabin. Yummy.

Cum Play by DeMilo - Anal - 3 - This story shouldn’t be in the Anal category, but in erotic coupling, in my opinion. The anal play is short and quick the sex before all that is various kinds. The writer is good, but new and so there are some things that they are going to need to work on. The paragraphs HAVE to be separated. They are way to long. The other thing... the dialog needs to be “cleaned up” it too is pushed together, so you aren’t sure if you have dialog or not. I was surprised that this was approved by Lit. It isn’t a bad story, but it is hard to read because of the “bunched” up text. I would be interested in seeing DeMilo edit this work, resubmit it and see how it does in Erotic Couplings after being edited to an easier reading form. I think DeMilo has a talent, but in my opinion those talents will be overlooked by others if the story doesn’t match the category and the story is “crowded”.

100 Things I Love About You by femininity - Letters & Transcripts - 5 - Since I am late in giving reviews... many have already read this and have mirrored my thoughts. . .Wonderful, excellent, and beautiful. What more can I say... except read it and you will see love at its most striking. A great first story for femininity.

Broken by creamscream - Nonconsent/Reluctance - 4 - First I was surprised... no... shocked really by the negative one line comments by people. 1. IT IS A NON-CONSENT/RELUCTANCE STORY! It isn’t supposed to be a bed of roses! 2. This story was in my opinion, well written for a first time writer. 3. I hope creamscream doesn’t get so discouraged as to not write a sequel to this story if not for my own curiosity, but for the one reader that had the same complaint I have... I would have liked to see more of this story. Why is she there? How did she get there? Will she develop a fetish for this lifestyle... DO NOT read this if you are not into forced sex, bdsm, gang bangs! ! ! If you read it and you are into this and think it needs work, leave a comment, give constructive and polite criticism. Don’t bash... what good does it do to bash someone.

Lady C is back on her back for a few days so I thought to do a couple of reviews for her.

I Need to Know
DG Hear

This story is actually very sad even though it is a love story of sorts. DG always seems to be able to find the kind of stories that manage to grab the soul in some way or another. This one was done with his usual flare. While reading, you could almost feel the distress and despair of the main protags and wonder how there could be a happy ending. I love his work. Five from me.

:rose:

The Calling
Jennah

A very flowery short love story that kind of left me wanting more. The language used was beautiful, the visuals were very well done. The story flowed well and as a stroke story, was nice and short. I gave it a four.

My contribution to today's reviews:

Best Kept Secrets
by cjblakely

An impressive piece for a debut author at Lit. It's a lesbian story with a lot of steamy lust but some sappy romance as well, which I like. Very well written. The only thing I can think this story needs is more background on the characters, I liked them but would've liked to know more. Very well done and I recommend it, gave it a 5.

The Decision Maker
by Miss Minky

Another well written piece by a relatively new author. However I think those who like BDSM stories would be more inclined to enjoy it even though this one is in erotic couplings. The author does an admirable job fleshing out her main character in such a short time that the ending completely makes sense. I just didn't like the characters. Gave this one a 4.

A couple more reviews to help out LadyC

The Girl and the Dragon
Dirkstimson
NonHuman
This is a first story, and it shows, but it amusing to read. A very good shot at combining sex and fantasy (as in Sci-fi/Fantasy, not wet dreams, lol) as well as a rather unique premise. I had a little trouble suspending belief on parts of it, and it needs some polish, but all in all, a fun read.

The Closet
wordmaster
Erotic Couplings
Excellent stroke story, with lots on intense imagery, a playful feel to it, and a quick, fast ride. The end left me a little puzzled- was it a stranger, or her established lover? Still, this one earned a 5 from me.

Insomnia and Pain are wondrous combination so here is my first review of the day:

Slow Sweet Sex
TexKatie

This is one of two new stories by this new author. And if you are looking for a stroke story, this one will hit you good. It's written with a lot of emotional depth, using a good mix of lust and ornate to make the story stick. A few run on sentences, but hell I do that all the time myself. I think this author can do some good things here. It's a five from me.

:rose:

The Ballet
Wordmaster

A trifle wordy but well written and enjoyable encounter between strangers who share an intimate moment in the dark of a theater. For a girl who enjoys exhibition, this was a decent storyline. It is really pretty good for a short one page stroke story. I gave it a four.

:rose:

An Innocent Question Ch. 01
Ohio

Loving Wives isn't really my thing mostly because of all the conflict. But this one is a good one. Well written and interesting makes the four Lit pages go by fast without you really realizing that there was four Lit pages to read. The writing was well done, the premise, while done a lot, was still fresh enough to enjoy. And since it was the first chapter in a three parter, it ended at a place that left me interested in reading more. I gave it a five.

:rose:

Photographic Memory
Lucky-E-leven

This one gets a huge WOW out of me. It's a lovely portrayal of not only erotica and sensualism but love put into words that bring visuals that are incredibly hot. The scenes almost seem to jump off the page and stream into your soul. Well written in a beautiful voice I could find no wrong with this story, a very definite five from me.

Hi SelenaKittyn:)

You have a formidable job, reviewing new stories. I thought it was overwhelming when all I did was poetry. THank you for taking the time to read, Just LIke That, and then offer help. :)

Thank you so very much for the pointers you have offered me. I know I need work on dialogue especially, it is my weak point and thats why I posted that story, to see just how bad it was. I didnt expect it to generate such a nasty email though...I think good thoughts for that poor guy, lol...

anyway...I will work on the story, I realize it wasnt enough sex for most Lit readers, but I try to add some story to my stories. I actually have more chapters, they wont be so boorrring:D I have a few posted under the name Maria2394 if anyone wants to offer suggestions on those. I just got sick of that user name :)

have a great day, SK and thanks again

At the risk of kissing ass, I found Lizzy's How To to be very practical and sensible too. Always wise to think ahead before coming to conclusions about what your best and most natural lifestyle is. Self-deceit can otherwise make a polyamorous man think he is monogamous or a monogamous woman think that she is polyamorous, for example. Also, some people might end up wanting or needing to try different lifestyles at different points in their lives before settling into the best one for them.
