How is it anti-god to suggest that spirituality is a personal, private matter better taught by parents than by schools?

How is it anti-god to suggest that it's WRONG to force Christianity on Jews, Hindus, and others?

What exactly makes you think you are so completely spiritually superior and pure and RIGHT that you can force your religion upon those who are perfectly happy with the one they have?

Because that's what this is REALLY about. No one's keeping anyone from being a Christian. You can set up Christian clubs in school. You can pray at your desk. What you can't do is force others to believe as you do. If that sticks in your craw, then I suggest you move to Iran or some other country without religious freedom. Clearly you do not appreciate what the United States of America represents.

I personally love my country. I love Freedom. I love the fact that in these United States, Muslims and Jews and Christians can live side by side, each with their own cultures and beliefs. I love heterogeny. I accept that others aren't like me, and I do not put myself above them because of that. No one is a 'sinner' by virtue of being born into a different belief system. Can you say the same?

No, I'm not making fun of you at all. I just don't believe that keeping church and state separate is anti-Christian or anti-God. In fact, many people involved in the church are staunchly in support of the separation, because they recognize that removing that block would allow their children to be exposed to ideas and beliefs that they find offensive. Pat Robertson is highly critical of the "Faith-Based" tax deduction because he doesn't want his tax dollars going to Scientologists, Muslims, and other beliefs he finds offensive.

The second that you start giving money to religious organizations, they become accountable to the taxpayers. The reason that the Boy Scouts of America can discriminate against homosexuals is that they are a private organization. If they were a government-run organization, this would be against the law.

As much as I abhor discrimination, I wholeheartedly support private industry's right to run their business. I think that allowing religion to be taught in schools would be an absolute fiasco of unprecedented proportions. Look at how they botch reading, writing, and arithmetic!

I respect your right to your spirituality. That's why I'm in favor of this separation - it's bad for everyone involved.

I would have to say no one ever told you that in the last days that one of the traits of the lost tribes would be that they would not act like gods people. That his set times
and feasts would not be observed. That their ensigns and emblems are everywhere in this country as well as england/britian,denmark and Austraila. That they would control the "gates" of their enemies. And that from their onset that they would never be defeated by their enemies in a real knock down drag out war. Did you know that the queen of england's genealogy can be traced all the way back to king david.? And that god promised that a descendant of david would rule always over at least one of the lost tribes
until the end came.

This is one of the most disturbing, anglo-centric, racist pieces of propaganda I have ever heard! The ENGLISH are God's chosen people?! Oh. My. God.

And how on earth do you plan to prove that the Queen of England is a direct descendant of David? As far as I know, there has never been any proof that David even existed, much less a piece of his DNA to match up with royalty. It doesn't even make any sense! David: Semitic. Queen: Anglo. So, what are saying, that the Queen is Jewish? I bet she'd be surprised to hear that! I'M probably more related to David than the Queen of England is!

This is the kind of "divine right" foolishness that the people in power used to keep others oppressed for centuries. It makes me sick.

ok ,then i will come at the church and state issue from my veiwpoint.

and it is radical.

1.God is in control not us.
2.church and state will come together and the state will win. The church as it is known today will be changed and will become a tool of the anti-christ.
3.the current "churches" must pass away brfore this can happen. It does'nt matter what we want and even fighting against this process only seems to slow it down. In reality
the whole thing is like a pot of stew cooking on the stove.
the cook is adding what he wants, When he wants; and it will be ready to serve up when he says it is.

I am as much as an american as anybody in these united states. However i see through the "spectacles of christ" so to speak.

A persons soul is their own. It can not be forced to accept anyones religon or lack of it. As for me i think such a thing is about as for from God and his ways as a person can get. Indeed he only wants people who gives themselves to him of their own free will. And it is for sure that he uses people that are not his in his plans.

I am aware of the history of most of the major religons
of the world and have or had friends of almost everyone of them.

I think if a person wants to pray in school or their faith requires it that they should be allowed to.

I also think that the basics of all religons should be taught in school as well as evolution.

I cannot speak for other religons; But my god has no problem
getting anyones attention if he wants it. I would not have our children growing up ignorant of the world around them.

Not all hebrews are jews and not all jews are hebrews. they were ten different tribes. their were two
exodus from egypt. One left by sea much earilier in history than moses. They settled in around crete,greece you know that area.

when the tribes were taken in slavery into {damn i can't remember which empire}persia maybe. after the alotted time
they were released. some did not go back to israel. they became solders for hire; they finally when up through the caucasus mountains {one hell of a lot of them} once past them they disappear from history. At the same time the celts
or the same people who would latter be called the celts appeared in the same place and time. i think the discovery channel had a show on this at some time.

As for the queen of england i bought an offical chart of coarse. Don't you think the english know who sets on their throne. They are kinda strict about records af this sort.

Hey....I didnt want Christianity taught as the only thing to my son then...nor would I now.I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN,its an allright belief system....but me and my son are MUSLIMS.I have as of yet to meet a Christian that considers Islam legitimate,to them WE are a devil inspired religion.I dont accept that.As an American born here...with family in the middle east...my family has seen and suffered firsthand from religion and state combined,killings and worse cause the goverment DISAPROVES of our beliefs,and the goverment is ran by the FANATICS....damn crazy shi'ites...arrrgggggggghhhhh

No, I don't think the English know who is on their throne. And yes, I know the supposed history of the tribes of Israel. It was the Assyrians who enslaved them. And yes, all Jews were Hebrews, and vice versa. Conversion over the millenia may not make that true today, but that doesn't mean that a tribe of Anglo-Saxons was wandering around in the Middle East and somehow ended up on the throne of England.

Now, David was a mythological figure. To be related to him, he has to have existed. I hope you know how outrageous it is to suggest that anyone can positively trace their bloodline to a specific figure in a time before documented history. You might as well say that the Queen of England is a direct descendant of Beowulf. In fact, that would make more sense, seeing as how Beowulf was a figure out of ENGLISH mythology, and not Hebrew. The English didn't even know David existed until a couple hundred centuries A.D.
