New Milestones Thread

I wrote it, and my publisher embellished it, putting me on the street a bit longer than I actually was and omitting my adopted family. The basic facts are true, but I was "on the streets" only from 12 to 14, not 10 years. I did run away a few times but certainly didn't spend that many years on my own. It makes me sound really heroic, doesn't it? We need to change the part about ‘Captain Tom’ he went to his reward four + years ago. We now have a cat named CAT. Don't think we will add Donnie into the mix.
Looks slick...! Did you write the bio yourself or did you have someone do that for you?

I like “Captain Tom”, keep that in.

He was a pirate cat; he only had one eye. We even had him an eye patch to wear on Halloween. LOL, He lived 18 years and started out as Jo's kitten, but he liked me.

looks like you're putting the effort in on the promotion side. I'd love to know how it works out for you, thinking of going the same route myself, but here's the thing... I don't yet know if it's worth the investment in a proper site?

I finally had a story reach 1,000 votes (most of them good)
I've had stories on this site for years (some for decades) and most of them haven't reached 500 votes but Friend Zoned touched some hearts and reached 1,000 in five months. It's semi-autobiographical, maybe that's it?
1000 votes in 5 months in a non IT story on 35k+ views is impressive. Do Romance stories typically get a high vote/view count?

1000 votes in Romance is very good. If you look at the Most Popular in the category, there are many under 1000 votes. Though there are a few that have 10s of thousands of votes, 1000-3000 is the most common.

Congratulations! You're #84 on the Most Popular list for stories published in the past 12 months, and 1000 votes in the Romance category is nothing to sneeze at!

My publisher furnished my site. It's a free site; they didn't buy a domain name for it but let Wix provide it. That's why there is advertising at the top of the page. Originally, they didn't use Wix, and it was MillieDynamite.com, but they moved it a few years back. I don't know if I every updated it here. I reckon I should look at that.

I downloaded the spreadsheet that gives the breakdown of all our stats.

Prefacing this by saying the view stat has always been questionable because of bots, clicking your own story, someone clicking then quickly exiting, etc.,,

Having said that, my total views to date is:

50,632, 677

It doesn't seem real, and a portion of them probably aren't. But if even 10 percent of those are reads, that's insane,

...and the last 20 of these followers was after I published my latest story in T&CG, so no I/T easy mode cheating this time! ;)

It is mind-boggling. I'm at one-fifth of that number, which if only 10% actually read my stories means my stories have been read over one million times. There's nothing that I've done in my entire life that has affected so many people, which is a weird thought. I've edited and published a few professional articles and the total number of people that have read them is probably much less than the number that have read one of my mom-son stories.

I'm over there too with Millie and I'm sure there's more of us at that location. I have a publisher who does some awesome promoting and makes awesome covers for me.

I know it's not much compared to most of you but my thirtieth story posted tonight. When I started this I figured I had two or three stories in me based on old fantasies and women I'd known. Then that would be it. Itch scratched. I never imagined I'd still be at it nearly two years now. I feel very satisfied and accomplished. Thanks to everyone who's read and encouraged me. I appreciate it so much.

I know what you mean. For years, my wife begged me to write a sexy story for her, like the one I'd written for her when we were dating. Eventually I gave it a try, and the floodgates opened. Even when inspiration is hard to come by, the enjoyment and excitement are still there.

My writing began when I had a great idea for a role play with my wife, but she was out of town for work. I didn't want to lose the idea and feeling behind it and on a whim I opened a word doc and wrote the two characters out, then added some dialogue, interaction, next thing I knew I wrote a short sex scene.

I showed it to her, and she enjoyed it and said, "I want more, what happens next?" I begin to tell her, and she shook her head. "No, I want you to write it for me."

Been writing ever since.

I finally had a story (Queen of Diamonds, in Mature) reach 100 faves … after 5-1/2 years.

I’m a very low output author—about once a year, and I’m ten years into it. I always shake my head in amazement when I see the number of stories and followers some authors have and how many votes and faves their stories receive. (And contest wins!) Mad props to those authors—that’s world record-holder territory.

I passed 200 followers sometime last year and am still surprised I have more than a handful.

All in all, I’ve done pretty well—100% red Hs on my stories. I haven’t had ones that fit the themed contest criteria that often—only twice, but I finished in the top 10 both times. Getting a contest win would be a major reward, but I’ll just keep trying to do my best and be excited if it ever happens.

I appreciate the Literotica community and the opportunity the site has given me to titillate a worldwide audience with my meager output.

I've got 1% of views of @lovecraft68 but as I am writing niche fetish, that's not too bad.

568,000 views, 69 stories in total with average rating just under the Red H of 4.48.

Dont think I can complain :)
