New Milestones Thread

Today I published my 69th story on Literotica!

(I’ve also got some “poetry”, so my total works is higher. But I only wrote those for points in Survivor and they are not good.)

I’m also up to 380 followers, having gained 21 in the last week!

My most viewed story (yes, T/I) is at 96.4k views with 1.7 votes giving a 4.66 rating. 117 favorited it and 31 left comments!

I’ve also got a Loving Wives story that is presently at a 4.06 rating! That seems like a win, too!

Obligatory "Nice!" comment.

My total views are something like 1.25 million for all my stories together. But a large chunk of that is from my T/I series "My Little Sister Sal".

Today I realised that my non-T/I stories have more than half a million views. Considering that most of those stories are in SF&F, I take more pride in this number than the total for all my stories.

Sometimes it's the modest milestones that matter.
This morning my WIP passed the 3500 word mark.
This is a modest milestone because one of my goals when I set out on this particular journey was to get beyond one Lit page in length. Being a pantser, I was unsure whether I had enough plot to make that marker.
Am writing in an area where I have virtually no exerience.
I have done Nonhuman before, but as far as I can recall strictly TM.
Now thanks to @anthrodisiac, my heroine is a horny catgirl in need of a loving home. Feline/human sex is a challenge.
But it is the challenges that keep me going, in life as well as writing.

The combined views on my 18 published stories passed 350,000.
Although it might not mean much for some (it is after all half the average number of view on T/I stories :ROFLMAO: ), it blows my mind that so many people looked at least at the first page of something I published.

Wow, quite an accomplishment, good for you!

That's awesome, good job!

So proud of you

The Erotica community I've been building is up to 450 members. 1000007458.jpg

A second blog post is out featuring the work of Sighonsocial, my co-conspirator in running the joint.

We have an anthology coming out soon.

Work is going smoothly.

I have taken my meds every single day for more than a month straight for the very first time in my life.

I am drinking water and eating every day.

I'm writing and enjoying what I write.

I've made some friends recently that have absolutely changed my life for the better and are the main reason I've managed the above tasks.

Things are going really well for me right now. So I fully expect something absolutely horrible to happen soon..

I’m proud of you. You’re doing fantastic with everything and it’s been amazing to watch.

And nothing bad’s going to happen. Promise

I was slow to start gaining followers. They took off when I wrote a T/I series, and then stagnated.

Even so, I'm pleased that their number does keep growing. For my past twenty-five or thirty stories, I've more or less consistently gained ten followers per story. Which isn't bad, considering that most of those stories have been SF&F, with very little in the way of author events and no contest entries.

I just hit 700k total story views (39 works) this week. I'm sure not all of those actually finished my stories, I'm not sure how views are actually calculated, but it still feels like a milestone to me. Makes me feel like it's worth continuing to publish, that people are actually reading my stuff.

Well, parts one and two of the rejected story are up and available for reading. Who knows why.

The third part is submitted, and I’m trying to figure out if the fourth should be monkeyed with at all. Or just resend it.

'Five Rules for Yes Chapter 1 of 4', is posted if anyone is interested.

One reader commented it was well written, but the content wasn’t to her taste. However, the second part was much more to her liking for content. Her remark was that my work is always well written, so there is that to enjoy.

A View is someone clicking into the first page of a story. They might click out ten seconds later, you don't know.

A View doesn't mean that the story has actually been read. I reckon, based on chaptered stories, that maybe 15% - 20% of the first chapter reader will actually finish the last chapter
but it still feels like a milestone to me. Makes me feel like it's worth continuing to publish, that people are actually reading my stuff.
Based on my logic, even 10% is 70,000 readers, so that's impressive, by any measure. Good stuff!
