A strange and disquieting tale. Three solid stars. Not quite four.

JPB NOT BOB

I just want to know, what's JPB NOT BOB mean?

I've had my first story of the year published, The Intruder, eight and a half months after my last one. I wasn't very productive on Lit last year. I only tried to publish one story after First Contact: The Strigoi, but it failed due to suspected AI rejection. I refused to change it for approval, as I didn't use AI, and didn't want to take away from writing a new product to put up for sale to get a story on a free site. This one was also rejected first, for the same false accusation. I made two very minor changes to weirdly worded sentences (all on me), and it went through.

scores are [...] inflated by the [...] existence of the red H
What's the thought process and the intended connotation of this statement? Maybe there was previous context but I can't tell what you mean by this.

On its face it sounds like you're thinking once it's achieved, then 🅷 influences subsequent scores for the positive. Is that it or are you implying or thinking something else?

Some anonymous commenters use a "signature" to say, "I might be anonymous, but this is me." Of course, you'd have to see other comments they've left, for it to make any sense. I remember seeing an Anon years ago who had a whole cryptic coding system in a string of letters at the end of every comment. Strange - it might have meant something, but not to me, the person receiving the comment.

On the other hand, Urban Dictionary, says Just Playing Bitch, and Battery Operated Boyfriend - does that usage fit with the context of your story?

There's a writer in Loving Wives with the pen name "Just Plain Bob" who has 10,000 followers and 800+ stories. I think your commenter is signing with his initials and adding (Not Bob) to distinguish himself from Just Plain Bob the writer. Just a guess. I've had a few comments from the same person, and that's always what I've assumed his signature means.

It's a non-erotic story about a grieving mother and her new kitten.

Yesterday, I submitted three episodes in the same series.

One was approved earlier today. A bit later, I received a rejection for #2 because the text was identical to #3. To be sure, I re-upped the (correct) text for both.

Both were approved in less than 20 minutes.

Wow!
