New Milestones Thread

[MelissaBaby]

The downloaded stats don't give wordcounts. I wish they did. I think MB's 16K was views not word count.

If it did, then we could have three or four new threads a day on whether or not hyphenated words should be counted twice.

[Five_Inch_Heels]

It was Rob that mentioned words.

Probably tracked a different way.

Three times! Once for each participating word, plus their married form. Or even more if we're talking cul-de-sac, tic-tac-toe, etc.

Eight years ago today I submitted my first story to Lit.

It got rejected.

My first E&V story, A Bikini With a Mind of its Own, published in February 2017, just went over 400,000 views. It still gets around 100 views per day. It's not because of the score; it only has a 4.43 and it never earned a red H. But it's no. 36 on the all time most favorited EV story list. My guess is people like stories about bikinis.

There's an all time favorited list? Could you link it?

Not a milestone and I have not written in forever, but looking through what I have, I see I have never submitted a story in July. Useless information, but it made me laugh.

[MillieDynamite]

Well, get one up, now! That way, you can't say you haven't published in July any longer.

Well, get one up, now!

Some people need help to achieve that.

[MillieDynamite]

I encouraged him. I'm afraid that's all I can do.

We can hope that it's because you have been living your Summer Lovin' instead of writing it for the contest.

That's a very encouraging photo. But there's something wrong with the framing.

It's just one little eye spying on you!

My “Spring Break Wife” story is 13th on the all-time most favorited list! There’s no accounting for taste.

On the list, it’s between “Three Days of Watching My Wife Fuck” and “Anna Succumbs to Neighbor’s Cock”. Okay then.

They say perversion likes company. They say something like that.

I see views/votes/comments/score/favorites and reading lists. I don't see word count.

FIH was talking views across works.

I believe MB was also.

I am fully aware that this is almost certainly temporary and these front lists with no (or a small) minimum number of votes are kind of meaningless, but this is still fun for me. As a result of the recent first pass sweep, most of the stories in my first series jumped in rating. I am currently the top rated story in group sex ever and the fourth highest in EC.

The rating for the EC story is still odd -- it is the only story in the series with no favorites, one of the few with no comments and has about the same number of votes as the stories around it. Just shows the weakness of the ratings by themselves.

Still, it was fun to see this.

Congrats, but be aware doing this is also a good way to alert the trolls where to go and what to shoot down.

[THBGato]

Congratulations. I kind of think it happens anyway (the down voting). It's happened to me everytime, usually within a day, whether I've mentioned it here or not.

[Five_Inch_Heels]

I had one at 4.78 for several days, maybe a couple of weeks. It was at a perfect 5.0 for 10-15 votes on the first day.

It dropped to 4.68 recently and I really don't know why.

[PennyThompson]

I broke 300 followers overnight!

Also my Mothman story is not doing huge numbers view-wise, but it's holding strong at a 4.9 rating two weeks after being published

The non-human category is kind of a weird one because it has a bunch of LONG-running series that permenantly dominate the top-list, but from what I can tell mine is the highest-rated non-series entry for the last 12 months
