I don't know if it counts as a milestone but I posted my first story here in nearly twenty years. I had a different account a long time ago and posted a few stories. I don't consider myself all that good of a writer and for sure many among you won't have to look hard to find grammar issues, especially with my conversational punctuation.
But, it does feel good and, at least for now, I am sitting on a HOT rating and that feels even better! I know it can be fleeting and fickle but I'll take it while it lasts.

Naww, I always re-read before I write the next part. Slows the process, but helps to get it whipped into shape.In other words, you just started.

“Story” = published work.The Bargain, just posted today, turns out to be officially my 100th published "story."
I put "story" in quotes only because out of that 100 total, not all of them are actual stories. Several are non fiction essays on writing etc.
And then i suppose there's the debate on whether a 30 chapter long series is 30 seperate stories or only counts as one really long one
Anyway... Happy 100th to me I guess.
Nah, the heavy lifting is done. The editing is where the fun begins. It's like having made a batch of cupcakes, and now choosing what you want to fill and decorate them with.In other words, you just started.
For me it's more like "there's too much icing, what do I scrape away to make sure the taste is right"
