A little over 550 are going up this AM. Quite a sight.

Years ago I won a raffle and got to ride in a ballon during a festival.

It's amazing how quiet it is up there. The burners are crazy loud. Other than that, though? Nada. No wind noise because you are part of the wind.

You can hear things from the ground with a weird clarity, though. We spooked some horses, and their gallop sounded like a sound effect.

It is, although the lift offs were somewhat staggered today because of the wind direction.
