"Text speech" always reminds me of the old Western Union telegrams where folks crunched the message, contracting words and dropping fluff like "the and is" to save a buck or two. The only example I can think of at the moment is the one where an editor is supposed to have wired a writer for the age of a movie star who was the subject of the writer's article.
