I went to Connecticut this weekend planning to visit the renaissance faire that was in Woodstock. WTF was I thinking? It got washed away. Don't believe me? See the pictures on their website , http://www.ctfaire.com.

*boggle*

I heard the jousting horses were being loaded up two by two by a guy with a long beard...
Washed out just like the origional Woodstock.

How convenient for you to have an ark then. hehe

Oh man, we had a horrible storm go through here last night. Heavy, heavy, heavy rain and high winds. This morning it was thunder and lightning.

No fun :(

I'm not ready for snow yet. I still need to get the studs on my car.

Now if New England had 8 days of snow & ice instead of rain???

I'm a big fan of the weather. A huge fan, in fact. And I've found there's something to appreciate in most all kinds of it. (Not disasters, of course, but everything else.)

When it's sunny? Almost everyone seems to appreciate that. The enveloping warmth of a still summer night, intoxicating and timeless just around dusk.

When it's rainy? The world gets covered in a cool, hazy mist that softens the cities and enhances forest greens. Plus it helps the plants grow. :)

And snow? Who can resist an evergreen slightly weighed down by snow, its branches frosted with a delicate and glistening fresh snowfall?

You also have to recognize the majesty of nature when we have these unusual weather events. The world is *amazing*.

Maybe I'm just crazy... but I think it's all great. And one of the beautiful things about New England is that we experience each, sometimes within the span of a weekend!

Nature is amazing at times. But sometimes a little too much is just insane.

A thundersnow is just amazing too. I love it when that happens, though it's incredibly rare around here. Well, at least more often than where I used to live, so I've heard them twice in the last 8 years as opposed to never before that. :)
