New contests

Just to get things straight, I'm not trying to change the site or bitch about the current contests. I was just wondering if people had any ideas about new contests.

For instance, I had an idea about a water-themed contest. Swimming, beaches, oceans, hot tubs, shower sex, mermaids, water nymphs, underwater cities, islands, pirates, divers, selkies, kelpies, nude beaches, spas, pools, and so much more!

Not sure what month it would go into, but still, a fun idea to play with.

I'm sure there are lots of good contest ideas, although I'm damned if I can come up with one now.

What about a Martin Luther King day contest?

In all seriousness, what about an "Intercontinental" contest? Stories about lovers from two different cultures, or perhaps about lovers from the same country getting it on while touring abroad?

Stories about Venician honeymoons, Sexy Russian coeds who love guys with weird American accents, or intercontinental penpals who fall in love and then meet in real life for the first time...

Martin Luther King Day would be included in the Winter Holiday category. I have never seen a story based on this, but I could probably write one, and try to do it tastefully. Oh Oh! Plot bunny alert.

It would almost certainly have to be an interracial story. What about a story set in the 60s, when racism was still prevalent, about an interracial couple who have clandestine liasons of wild, unbridled passion and have to keep it secret to avoid public backlash?

Alternatively, you could set it in modern times and have a group who holds a "racial relations" party - which would basically be like a swingers party, except instead of simply pairing up with a different partner, you pair up with a partner of a different race.

I think a celebrity contest theme could be fun.

They could switch up the contest each year by saying one would have to be based on TV series another would be movie characters.

There would be some pretty interesting plot bunnies

another one I think would be fun would be a chain story or "Team-up" contest where authors pair up and put out a story.

To make that more interesting the authors sign up and their partners picked out of a hat.
