New computer

Curious: Just in terms of a ballpark figure - how much did this whole setup cost?

I want to know this too.

The computer I got off of Ibuypower.com

Before the 5% discount and shipping rates (which are expensive) it was ~$1350. It has maybe $20-40 worth of rebates. I ordered it with 1GB of RAM and ordered the RAM separately off of Newegg (link) for $150 (and it has a $25 MIR)

So about $1400-$1500.

The monitor was $260 and had a $20 MIR, bringing it down to $240 (link).

If you don't have a monitor calibration spyder you won't regret getting one for your Photoshop work. If you're running Vista I recommend maxing your RAM, I'm using 4GB and photoshop still bogs down a bit on some large PSD files.

My other one was about 4 years old, so it was a massive jump in specs.

It's was awesome.

Still is.

Still love it.

Although it's not as massive as yours, it suits me to a T.
