But what about God? Oh noes!!! 😭😭😭

NEW YORK (CNN) – Any Chick-fil-A fan knows the chicken chain is closed on Sundays.

It’s a practice that’s been in place since Chick-fil-A first opened in Georgia in 1946.

But now, a bill has been introduced in New York that could affect Chick-fil-A locations at rest stops along Interstate 90 in New York state.

The new bill would require food services at transportation facilities and rest areas to remain open seven days a week.

So much for individual rights 🙄🙄🙄🙄.... new York should replace the state flag with the nazis flag. It does seem fitting

From the Bill:

Section 1 amends the public authorities law by adding a new section 390
that requires any contracts entered into by the New York State Thruway
Authority
for the operation of food services at public transportation
facilities shall require that services be provided every day of the
week.

So the state owns the buildings, and the state wants to make sure anyone doing business in their buildings is open 24/7. Yes pretty draconian.

Are you saying that an ignorant deplorable popped-off too early? Sounds like a typical MAGAt ED problem.

Sad!

Personally I'm against telling any business when they can or can't be open...on the other hand however it's damned inconvenient when they're closed on Sunday but I want a chicken sandwich anyway.

I've never bought from the place and never will.

But under the conditions above, a vendor can choose to abide by the contract or not seek renewal.

I've seen stories of a few malls doing similar. Abide by the mall's hours or don't seek a contract to be inside the mall. The religious sammich place left and built free standing altars nearby.

All of this sounds similar to the Deplorables getting repeatedly banned on Lit because they decided not to comply with the terms of service.

The poor babies will never learn that the entire world does not revolve around them, even if they throw a tantrum and rattle their penis substitutes. Eventually these control freak Deplorables will die out to a point where they become irrelevant in government.

Yet they all snuck back in taking away valuable posting space from those of us who followed the rules and came in to the board legally.

I think it would be nice if we keep asking "Buffalogurl" which individual rights are being violated until they answer the question.

At the very least, they may be turned off enough to abandon this alt. And that would be fun. 😘

The right to conduct business as the owner sees fit, it's his business, not the state's if his business is in a state owned building and he entered in contract before the new bill that requires him to be open 7 days a week that's one thing. But if he entered into a contract knowing the requirements are to be open 7 days a week that's entirely a different subject.
My question to all of you is, do you respect the owner of Chick-fil-A's right to practice his religious beliefs as being closed on the sabbath? Or does the owner have no rights because they follow Christian beliefs?.....

I support people being able to buy food at rest stops on Sunday. If Chik-Fil-A doesn’t want to provide that service, they should let another company have the space.

Property owners change contract requirements or ask for new ones to be signed, all the time. That doesn't make them Hitler.

Of course - but I'm not their landlord.

Do I need to explain this to you with puppets? 😘

Sock puppets, yes.
