Last spring we went to Wrigt Patterson AFB and camped out there. Rained all day and a thunderstorm rolled through during the night. Everyone got wet, Dining fly blew away, tents collapsed but everyone said they had fun.

LOL, that's funny. Prolly wasn't at the time though. I've always been more into the backwoods kind of camping so I usually don't have that much gear. They make a great product though called Camp Dry for waterproofing your tent. It seals the seams really good and ziplock baggies are always my best friend.

I used to do a lot of backpacking myself but one knee operation and lots of therapy later I really can't go by myself and none of my friends like to go. There idea of camping is how many coolers of beer can they fit in the trailer.

I understand about the ziploc bags, come in real handy, especially canoeing or white water rafting...

Well that type of camping can be fun too MFS. Lord knows beer can get real heavy in a backpack and finding a cold stream to keep it cold can be a pain in the ass too.


Of course baby we would bring the TP. It's camping, not prison.

Along with the Tornadoes in spring time and Blizzards in the winter.......

Got caught out in the woods this weekend when a front came through with 40 mph winds. When the first tree fell over I got the hell out.....
