No, she's right about that. So many stories are posted that many people simply come in and check the categories they like. They see your name enough, and they cling on if they like your stories.

Some people on the AH have immense followings because of this, and how long they've been here. I've been here for a while, and post in different categories... Nothing. Just a few reads and votes here and there.

Trolls vote 1s on stories to bring them down out of spite, and leave nasty PCs, particularly for stories in the Lovng Wives category. Laurel and Manu (who own and operate the site) regularly sweep scores and clear out the 1s as often as they can, but the trolls do their damage.

I've written a couple of BDSM stories and have not run into trolls that I'm aware of, nor have I received any nasty PCs or feedback...yet.

Only real tip i can think of is try entering one of the contest as soon as you can. They give you the greatest exposure and that is important to a new author wanting to reach as many readers as you can.
